Autofreak is a dark and driving electro-techno track originally released in 2001 produced by John Selway under his Semblance Factor alias. Selway brought out this track from the archives for a remix challenge on his Techno Saturdays livestream & feedback session with Christian Smith. We picked the top three electro and top three techno remixes from the challenge submissions to feature on this release. From dark rolling hypnotic grooves to sharp edged machine funk, all six mixes make up a strong and varied collection of new takes on Selways underground classic.

Tronic just intercepted a sonic transmission from the underground. Were unleashing globetrotter Flim! for a lethal two-track EP. Straight out of Thailand, Flim! drops two absolutely phat slices of raw Techno-minimal by design, heavy on the groove, and engineered solely to wreck dancefloors. To weaponize the release, we recruited Osakas rising star Astro aka Akihisa Takahashi for remix duties, who flips the script with a chord-driven, Detroit-infused groover & Amsterdam-based DJ & producer HSOP who delivered her interpretation filled with atmospheric vibes and a driving groove that almost feel UFO like and cinematic. Zero fluff. Maximum floor damage.
