Canadian writer, John MacLachlan Gray, is talking about one's passion, and the little passion play of how he got from writing rhymes to writing serial killer novels. He admits he never wrote anything until he was 30, and his main problem had to do with the word creativity, the harder you try the worse it gets, he says. He describes his experience writing songs and tells us that in the act of rhyming something happened. He tells us of his musical past, writing for musicals, his battle with complexity and trying to distract the "guard".
