* About Uzziel: *

The last two years have been extremely eventful for the Austrian metal band UZZIEL. While tirelessly reworking their back catalog in the studio, they also performed at several live events, including the Blutfest by Debauchery in Vienna, the Area 53 Festival in Leoben (summer 2023), and the Kaltenbach Open Air in August 2023. Their newly reworked single “Captured By Emptiness,” along with a music video, followed on February 9, 2024.

UZZIEL traces its origins to Micheldorf near Wels in Upper Austria. In 2010, frontman Mexx Uzziel and guitarist Jürgen “Hati” Hartwagner joined forces to open a new chapter in thrash metal. Early demos, such as “Broken” (2011), and appearances at the Kaltenbach Open Air and the Austrian Hellfest soon garnered them recognition. The name UZZIEL, which means “God is my strength” in Hebrew, also refers to the biblical Uzziel, Moses’ uncle.

With their 2015 album “Torn Apart,” the band established a solid foothold in the German-speaking metal scene. Their sound stands out thanks to a distinctive blend of thrash, dark, groove, and nu metal. In 2019, “This Fear” (in collaboration with SAOL) followed, with its tracks and concerts featuring acts like Sepultura and Debauchery receiving considerable acclaim.

By 2022, the band had signed a long-term deal with NRT-Records. After Hartwagner left, UZZIEL returned to the Kaltenbach Open Air in August 2023, performed at the 10th Anniversary Metal-Outbreak event, and joined Debauchery’s anniversary show in Vienna.

A new era began in 2024 with the re-release of “Captured By Emptiness,” marking UZZIEL’s label debut on NRT-Records, accompanied by a remastered video (handled by label founder Philipp Gottfried). In June 2024, they played with Elephants In Paradise and Crowheart at Club WakUum, followed by an appearance at the Metal Outbreak Festival in Linz that November. They kicked off 2025 at Vienna’s Replugged, sharing the stage with cyber-tech metallers Pulse.

In February 2025, they appeared in Amberg (Bavaria) with the heavy metallers of Reaper’s Revenge, unveiling the new version of their single “Like A God” live for the first time. On April 12, they will play at the Stormrage Festival. The official release of “Like A God” on March 28, 2025, further stokes anticipation for upcoming shows and signals the next step in UZZIEL’s ongoing musical journey

*About Ritchie Newton:*
Ritchie Newton (born December 7, 1964, in Straubing, Lower Bavaria) is a German musician, singer, and entertainer renowned in the heavy metal and hard rock scenes. He began his musical journey as a drummer in the marching band Spielmannszug Oberalteich. In 1983, he founded the heavy metal band Lucifer and released his first single, "Pleasure of Life / Woman in Doubt," under the name Ritchie V in 1986.

In the late 1980s, Newton joined the hard rock band MASS and later formed the speed metal band Pussy Lover, touring across Europe. Alongside his music career, he established Ritchie's Catering in 1992, cooking for artists like Fats Domino and Suzi Quatro. In 1994, he founded the biker band Georgia Molly Gang and released the Bavarian rock album "Süchtig" ("Addicted") as Rocka Ritch in 1996.

After emigrating to Thailand in 1997, he became a successful Elvis tribute artist and appeared on the VOX reality show "Goodbye Deutschland." As an author, Newton published books such as "Rocksau" ("Rock Pig"), "Das Land der Liebeskasper" ("The Land of the Love Fools"), and "Die Angst ihn zu verlieren" ("The Fear of Losing Him"), which tells the emotional story of his son Rino.

* About Ritchie Newton and higher power *

Ritchie Newton (born December 7, 1964, in Straubing, Lower Bavaria) is a German musician, singer, and entertainer renowned in the heavy metal and hard rock scenes. He began his musical journey as a drummer in the marching band Spielmannszug Oberalteich. In 1983, he founded the heavy metal band Lucifer and released his first single, "Pleasure of Life / Woman in Doubt," under the name Ritchie V in 1986.

In the late 1980s, Newton joined the hard rock band MASS and later formed the speed metal band Pussy Lover, touring across Europe. Alongside his music career, he established Ritchie's Catering in 1992, cooking for artists like Fats Domino and Suzi Quatro. In 1994, he founded the biker band Georgia Molly Gang and released the Bavarian rock album "Süchtig" ("Addicted") as Rocka Ritch in 1996.

After emigrating to Thailand in 1997, he became a successful Elvis tribute artist and appeared on the VOX reality show "Goodbye Deutschland." As an author, Newton published books such as "Rocksau" ("Rock Pig"), "Das Land der Liebeskasper" ("The Land of the Love Fools"), and "Die Angst ihn zu verlieren" ("The Fear of Losing Him"), which tells the emotional story of his son Rino.

Ritchie Newton makes an impressive comeback with his new single "Higher Power" from the upcoming album of the same name. This powerful heavy metal track merges strong rock elements with a spiritual message of hope and resilience. The album "Higher Power" features guest musicians:

Vier Meter Hustensaft - Misch Dich Ein (Stop Homophobia!) [ Punkrock | Punk | Deutschpunk ]

NRT-Records 2024-08-01 | Der Hass auf homosexuelle, bisexuelle und transsexuelle Menschen ist auch im Jahr 2024 immer noch ein schwerwiegendes Thema. Vor allem jene, die ihren Mitmenschen immer predigen: "Sei du selbst", regen sich darüber auf, wer mit wem sein Leben teilt. Die Konsequenz? Schwule und Lesben in diesem Land werden in "guter alter Tradition" verfolgt, gejagt und müssen um ihre körperliche Unversehrtheit fürchten, weil irgendwelche Menschen glauben, ihnen vorschreiben zu dürfen, wen sie lieben sollen.

Trotz der Tatsache, dass die Weltgesundheitsorganisation bereits vor fast vier Jahrzehnten Homosexualität von der Liste der psychischen Störungen gestrichen hat, werden LGBTQI+-Menschen immer noch mit unreflektierten Klischees und Vorurteilen konfrontiert. Auf Datingportalen verabreden sich Täter gezielt mit schwulen Männern, um ihnen aufzulauern:

Dieser Song ist KEINE REGENBOGENPROPAGANDA, sondern eine gezielte Ansprache an genau diese Täter. Die Regenbogenflagge und der CSD sind dabei symbolische Stilmittel. Warum streben wir nicht danach, die Welt zu einem besseren Ort zu machen und nach dem Prinzip „Leben und leben lassen“ zu handeln? Die sexuelle Orientierung eines homosexuellen oder transsexuellen Menschen wird sich kaum ändern, nur weil sie einigen nicht gefällt. Stattdessen sollten wir uns fragen, warum dieses Thema so präsent ist, warum dieser Song entstanden ist, und erkennen, wie verwerflich das Verhalten einiger Menschen ist.

„Misch Dich Ein“ richtet sich klar gegen Mobbing, Hass und Gewalt. Der Song ist ein Aufruf zur Zivilcourage und plädiert für ein friedliches Miteinander. Er fordert die Akzeptanz, dass die Liebe zwischen zwei Männern oder zwei Frauen genauso wertvoll ist wie die zwischen Mann und Frau.

Ausgekoppelt aus ihrem Minialbum "Kein Vergeben, Kein Vergessen" (VÖ: September 2024) ist dieser Song eine Erinnerung an die Menschlichkeit, mehr Empathie und ein Appell, dass die Menschen anfangen Empathie zu entwickeln. Als versierter Musiker, Sänger, Buchautor und Entertainer sowie Initiator der @METALHEADSFOREVERROCKCASTSHOW ist Ritchie Newton das Paradebeispiel dafür, wie tiefgreifend man seine künstlerischen Ambitionen verfolgen kann. Mit "Moments" präsentiert Ritchie eine Vielfalt an Songs, darunter die rockigen Tracks "Born To Rock" und "Back To The Wall", sowie emotionale Balladen wie "Flying High" und "Falling". Die EP wurde in enger Zusammenarbeit mit Gitarrist und Produzent Oliver Zangl erstellt und zeigt die tiefen menschlichen Erfahrungen und Emotionen, die Ritchie in seiner Musik verarbeitet.

Ritchie Newton wurde 1964 in Straubing, Niederbayern, geboren und entwickelte durch seinen Großvater, einen Berufsmusiker, früh eine Leidenschaft für die Musik. Schon als junger Trommler und später als Sänger begann er, erste Erfahrungen in der Musikwelt zu sammeln. Über die Jahre hinweg baute er eine beeindruckende Karriere auf, die ihn durch verschiedene Musikgenres und Projekte führte. Von der Deutschrock-Band Rozzloeffel über seine eigene Heavy Metalband Lucifer bis hin zur Biker Band Georgia Molly Gang – Ritchie hat sich in der Rock- und Heavy Metal-Szene einen Namen gemacht.

Für sein neues Album "Higher Power", das Ende 2024 erscheint, hat Ritchie eine beeindruckende Gruppe von Musikern um sich versammelt, darunter Iwan May (Gitarre), Dandy (Schlagzeug), Dodi (Bass), Reyfan Lapaehe (Keyboard), Markus Pfeffer (Lazarus Dream, Atlantis Drive), Tobias Dorner (Jester’s Tears), Frank Pané (Bonfire), Hans Ziller (Bonfire), Boris Matakovic (Human Zoo), Jimmy Katone (Hit The Ground Runnin'), Armin Sabol (Gitarre) und Dave Slaat (Crowheart, Keyboard).
