AK Rex 2021-01-27 | NOTE: Another interesting thing I forgot to mention was that the kids could have hidden in the hotel (credit to Klayton Fioriti for coming up with this!). In contrast to what Klayton said in regards the rotten or spoiled food and bad smell, that is easily solved by cleaning up and throwing it outside as far away as possible to remove the smell and prevent it from attracting animals. In addition, if you were to search the laundry utility rooms within the hotel, you could find a lot of sanitary supplies. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having an opinion on the matter, regardless of what it is and express it in the appropriate circles. I am however strinclty against having any type of political, racial, dating preferences, religious and other unrelated topics being inserted into paleontology hobby and community (regardless of their alignment). All these issues eventually cause tribalism and division, which in turn generates echo chambers and real toxicity. Paleontology both as a scientific community and as a hobby has so far been one of the only common grounds where people of various views can sit down and have a conversation without letting those views get in the way. Theropod LIPS & Tyrannosaurid FEATHERS - The Most Overrated Topics Lately AK Rex 2020-04-28 | Ps: apologies for the first half of the capture, I completely forgot to put the program to full screen! XDThere has been no additional material to reignite the sparks of the debate to support filaments in Tyrannosaurids, just as there has been never any evidence or studies published and described on "lips" (extra oral tissue extending to cover the teeth) of theropods in general. The former is solely centered around old and crude arguments and opinions, many of which are based on myths and misconceptions. The latter is at most based on an old thesis, which has never been peer reviewed and published in scientific hournal, lacked actual quantifiable evidence to support the claim and some occasional blog post opinion pieces.The debate overall is given too much attention than it deserves at this point in my opinion, for the reasons I provided above. More evidence pointing either way may somehow be a worthy cause to revise it, but at the moment I see no reason to keep going on about it.In any case, those were my own thoughts, you however enjoy the video and stay safe! :)
