This year’s campaign will be anchored by RTÉ 2FM producer and presenter, Aindriú de Paor and Beo ar Éigean presenter Sinéad Ní Uallacháin. Aindriú will coach The 2 Johnnies on their Irish language journey towards the goal of performing ‘When I Play for the County’ as Gaeilge live on air.
Sinéad will guide TV presenter and fashion designer Brendan Courtney and actor and presenter David O’Reilly, of the Any News podcast, as they work towards their goal of recording a bilingual podcast episode, as Gaeilge (agus Béarla!).
Sinéad will also visit groups who are mentoring each other, such as the community of Carntogher in Derry who are passing on the Irish language from generation to generation, and Dublin-based Irish language choir ‘As Béal a Chéile’, who will be mentoring the ‘Ukrainian Action Choir’ to learn a song as Gaeilge.
