Dead and burning bodies, including children, are now lying in the streets. While the United States claims to defend human rights, their record clearly reflects a government that will only intercede when their business interests are threatened. While politicians occasionally pay lip service to the horrific conditions in Myanmar no action is ever taken. The only people neglecting the situation in Myanmar worse than the U.S. are the press who consistently ignored these atrocities or reported them as 'ethnic clashes'. We consider the media to be complicit in concealing them from the rest of the world. The Rohingya have been told to expect a third massacre starting the last week in March. Rakhine have declared they will leave no Rohingya left on the land, just a few left as exhibits for the museum. Instead, Mr. Gabriele was given a very quick "trial" in a Vatican City courtroom and summarily sentenced to a year and a half in prison. The computer technician Claudio Sciarpelletti has been convicted of assisting in the disclosure and has been sentenced to two months.Anonymous and the Peoples Liberation Front will not stand by while whistle-blowers who expose corruption in governments or corporations are persecuted and imprisoned. In order to pass these bills that Congress has rejected, the Obama administration has taken to the use of Executive Orders so that they may bypass Congress entirely. This is incredibly concerning as the process is very complex for Congress to overturn laws passed this way. The Supreme Court may also declare it unconstitutional, but such incidents are very rare. With enough opposition, we can stop this before it even gets off the ground.The second, and more immediate threat, is another international treaty. It's yet another bill to grant more power to multinational corporations. If this treaty is ratified, the only way it can be altered is through the agreement of every country involved. Another way to avoid facial recognition is to tilt your head more than 15 degrees to the side. Due to limits in their programming, they will not be able to detect that a face is present. though There are very obvious cons to doing this. Using a similar method, you can distort your face through elaborate makeup. This method also takes advantage of software limits as the computer will not be able to detect a face. But these are tiresome ways that tend to draw attention to yourself. Surely there are better solutions to avoid being added to a database. Did you know that a laser pointer can disable surveillance cameras? A tripod and a scope will help ensure it remains pointed at the camera. But we do have one last way to combat this surveillance. This method requires a little bit of work though. With nothing more than a hat, some infrared LEDs, some wiring, and a 9 Volt battery, you can create a device to render yourself invisible.
