'Zero Hour' is yet another of my AMV concepts long in the making. I first had an idea for this AMV in 2011. Back then i was planning to edit it to the same song i used in 'On My Own' (Globus - Orchard of Mines). Both storys are part of the same book and similar in tone. However, i was never really convinced of using the same song on both Videos. In 2016 I saw a Trailer for 'Rogue One' and considered using that trailers song for this AMV, even though the actual Anime 'Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory' was still two years away. In Fall of 2018 i was determined to edit this very AMV as the concept worked quite well with the now released Anime. However, i restricted myself to not edit it before finishing 'Darkest Hour'. This was for two reasons: Firstly, i didn't want to edit four AMVs to FMP in a row. Secondly, i already knew that this AMV would be called 'Zero Hour' and i didn't want it to take from 'Darkest Hour', which i consider a more ambitious project. So i did just that and halted production until May 2020. After releasing 'Darkest Hour' i went to edit this one right away and finished most of it within a week.
However, with the AMV mostly done in May i didn't like the idea to release it too close to 'Darkest Hour', again to not undermine it. I wanted to have some breathing space between the two. So i decided to release 'Into the Blue' and 'AnT' in between and have 'Zero Hour' for Christmas. Still, I had a blast editing this AMV. Maybe even more so than most of my other AMVs from 2020. And i got some good beta feedback from Zest and JCD. This is my first and likely only Christmas AMV release. Full Metal Panic! is a franchise very dear to me and Teletha Testarossa my favorite character from it. For the release date I chose December 24th as this is also the Birthday of Tessa, the main character in this AMV. The name 'Zero Hour' is also the name of the first episode of 'Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory' and describes the start of the events that lead to the fall of the PMC Mithril. Which is what you see in this AMV so i decided to reuse that name.
Anyway, I don't think I will edit another Full Metal Panic! AMV in the near (or distant) future. The franchise seems to be winding down and my current expectations for more Anime are low. Though, if FMP Anime ever returns, so will I. 2020 was also my first year where i didn't edit a main AMV to a song with english lyrics. However, my next AMV will make good on that. It's already well in progress and should be released much sooner than you think. So long.

Eleven years after Jigen's Gravestone (Cold and Bloody), eight years after Goemon's Bloodspray (Blood Oath) and six years after Fujiko's Lie (Blood Bee) we finally got a new Lupin III special by Takeshi Koike. It's Zenigata in not-Soviet-Russia. I already had my hopes up for the 2019 special to be a Zenigata story, but it turned out to be Fujiko.
Over the years I had a couple of ideas for what song to use for a potential Zenigata AMV. Though after watching this special I went in a different direction, using the SF6 main theme instead. I liked this song ever since first hearing bits of it in the SF6 teaser trailer. I had no plans to actually make an AMV to it, but after watching the new special it seemed like a good choice. I made some minor changes to the beginning and end though to better fit the narrative arc.
The Zenigata special is also setting up a larger movie currently in japanese theaters. I can't wait to check it out and there will probably be an AMV to it in the not so distant future. But for now i hope you have fun with this AMV. Special thanks to Andü, DaMasta and Pic4 for testing. Enjoy!

#lupin #lupiniii #amvLook Back 「 AMV 」 End of the LineAMV Cenit2025-02-28 | ANIME: Look Back MUSIC: Jun Maeda - Summer Lights
Look back is a fantastic movie and worth your time. It's mainly about 2 artists who compete during thier school days, then grow up to be friends and ultimately grow apart again. There's more to it than what i'm showing here so got check it out.
The original soundtrack to Air is also pretty neat and dear to me for decades now. I had another AMV idea to this very song about 5 years ago but couldn’t find the footage neccessary to realize it. The idea for this AMV came to me in November 2024. I had planned on editing this AMV for Secret Santa but didn't due to it not fitting in with most of the requests. I would have almost abandoned this project as well but last weekend i felt motivated enough. So here it is. Special thanks to Andü. See ya.
I recently reconnected with Linkin Park. While listening to their later albums, i fell in love with Lost in the Echo. The idea for this AMV formed in March 2024 on a train ride. I usually would have waited a couple of months or years to edit this idea. But when i decided to visit NDK in Denver this year, i made this my AMV for NDK contest. Didn't win, but i still had a good time. Shout-outs to everyone i met there and thank you for the awesome weekend! I also screened this at Connichi 2024 in Wiesbaden to a small audience during my Meet the Maker panel.
Macross Plus is a unique entry to the series and deals with complex topics. I tried to touch on those, giving you the basic rundown of the story. It's about characters meeting again after a long to time - then friends, now rivals. It's about surpressed memories, mind control and an early concept of Vtubers. Quite a few times i was asked to make an AMV to it. And while i never planned to do so, when this idea struck me it was here to stay.
I hope you have a good time with it. Check out Macross Plus. Special thanks to JCD and Andü for beta testing. I'm already working on my next 2 AMVs. See you soon.
In December of 2022 i had the pleasure of watching Lupin Zero, yet another prequel to the franchise, but this time from when Lupin and Jigen were still kids going to school. It's pretty good and while watching, i immediately thought of pairing it with AC/DC. Only recently have i learned to fully appreciate their Music and by now i love mostly everything they did. But one song that stands out to me is For Those About to Rock. I'm in love with it ever since watching the River Plate concert. I wanted to edit to it for a while now and already had another vague concept. But then Lupin Zero came along and basically stole it away. I had one concern though and that is it's length. This is the third longest AMV i've ever done and AMVs usually don't get better with increased length. But i don't dare to cut this song down, so i'll take whatever punishment awaits me.
I started editing a proof of concept in January of 2023. Back then i was still unsure whether it should be For those about to Rock or Rock or Bust. But since i was also still busy with my other Lupin III AMV "Return", i let the project rest until late April 2024.
This AMV is dedicated to Malcolm Young, the co-founder of AC/DC who sadly passed away in 2017. While certainly dying too young, he also died a Young. See what i did there? Die Young is a catch phrase among Rock Stars. It also refers to the age of the protagonists in this AMV, as well as a certain character in Lupin Zero dying young. That's it for now.
This is an AMV Idea i wanted to realize for two years now. It might not be a very deep concept, but one that i still struggled with to pull through. Mostly since i love this song dearly and thus couldn’t rely too much on the Anime as a whole. I started editing in late 2022 and completed a rough cut by December 2023 for the @amvde Secret Santa as a present for @SamDoomfish. I made some final changes throughout January 2024.
While knowing the Song before, I came to love it when watching Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The Video title „Face the Music“ was also one of the taglines for GotG3, as well as the title for the third Bill and Ted movie. This AMV also is a bit of an homage to all the road-trips me and my family went on during my youth. Though we were mostly listening to Roxette and ABBA. Those journeys weren’t always easy but I look back with a smile.
I've got some more unfinished AMVs up my shelve that i wish to complete this year, but truth be told, i'm super busy right now so you might have to wait a little. Best regards and hopefully see you soon.

I had a blast editing this and while it may not be the most straight forward story, i hope you feel some of the awe i felt when watching these movies.
Patlabor is a franchise dear to Mamoru Oshii, the director of both Ghost in the Shell movies. While he hasn't been involved with GitS in decades, he keeps coming back to Patlabor. From my understanding, those are his passion projects and boy does it show. If you like the GitS movies and wish to see more crazy moody Anime, look no further.

I had the idea for this AMV when i visiting Japan in November 2022. After watching Bo Burnham's Inside shortly before, the soundtrack stuck with me, especially this very song. Then later on my journey, this idea formed.
I created this song cut by fusing two different versions of All Eyes On Me, since neither worked for me 100%. This is also only my second AMV using 4K Anime footage. Like with Chainmail, i once again converted the colors from HDR to SDR. I'm not too confident about this process anymore and if possible, at some future point i would like to re-release both AMV in HDR. But for now, this is how it has to be.
While most of this AMV turned out better than i had originally envisioned, some parts also differ from my initial idea. Some of the good scenes, i just couldn't use. It's always unfortunate to sacrifice what you originally had in mind for the better result overall. But i believe that this is the best possible outcome for this AMV idea. I hope you enjoy. Special thanks to doomfish and Sojiro for beta testing. Until next time.
The second half of Lupin III Part 6 is partly set in New York and sees Lupin face off with a rival organization. One of the central characters in this story is a seemingly kind-hearted girl called Matea Farah, who suffers from amnesia. This AMV contains some spoilers for that plot line.
When i first choose "Cells" by "The Servant" for this AMV, it was supposed to become more Lupin centered. But after working with the footage, i wanted this video to be more about Matea. I liked the idea of her being a monster that he partly created and now has to deal with. For this idea, this song wasn't 100% the right choice, which led to stagnation in editing. So I reworked the concept a couple of months later and fused both ideas into one. After that, editing went smoothly.
This is my 50th main AMV. It also uses Part 6, which was released for the 50th Anniversary of Lupin III Anime. It's also my 10th AMV to Lupin III. A lot of big numbers here. Special thanks to Sojiro for support and beta test, and shout-outs to EvilSpider, who used this song before in his AMV "Revenge", a video that i treasure to this day. The monochrome parts towards the end of this video are an homage to it. Thank you for reading and see you next time.
Lupin III Part 6 is a Anime TV series with two halves, each for the most part telling their own story. Thus, i decided on splitting Part 6 in two, with "Relentless" being my first of two AMVs to it. The first half of Lupin III Part 6 is set in London and deals with a conspiracy surrounding a modern day Sherlock Holmes and the Daughter of his deceased former Assistant Watson. This AMV contains some spoilers in that regard, but not enough to completely ruin your journey if you decide to watch the Anime later, so treat yourself to both!
I'm already working on an AMV to the second half, which should be ready for release around October. I'm sorry for the upcoming longer break, but for the next couple of weeks i'm booked. Of course, if i so happen to finish it any earlier, you will get to see it earlier. Special thanks to Apus, DaMasta, JCD, Noss and Sojiro for Beta-testing and support. Also shout-out to pic4arts, who does fantastic AMVs and also edited with this song before.

In the past two years i made a gaming marathon, playing all the Legend of Heroes games currently available. They are great and if you're curious about them, Trails in the Sky is where you start. Then after playing the games, i learned about this Anime sort of film. It's basically all fan service, capturing some of the best moments during the Sky games, while lacking a coherent story of it's own. If you played the games, you will love it. If not, you might be lost watching. So if curious, play the games first.
Anyway, about this AMV. Around February of 2022 i had the basic idea for this AMV using this song. However, while the mood of the melody is rather fitting, the lyrics as you might have guessed are pretty much not what these games are about. But to me, this song has a feel of adventure and exploration that is quite in line with these games. So after searching for better alternatives and not finding any, i went with my usual approach. I edited a few seconds, edited some more, saw that it worked and finished the AMV. Special thanks to ceddic, DaMasta and Sojiro.
This AMV came together rather quickly. I didn't actually expect to ever edit it, but here we are. My next two AMVs are already in production and will be to Lupin III Part 6. The first of those is already timeline complete and will be released in 2 weeks time, the second by mid-October. See you very soon!
The Violet Evergarden Movie is pretty nice and i appreciate it for giving closure to the overall story. After watching it, i didn't immediately plan on editing an AMV to it. Then one day in March 2022 i remembered "The Chain" by "Fleetwood Mac", a song that i was originally planning to use for my Lupin III AMV "Once and For All". While loving this song, it wasn't the right choice back then. Then i had a wild idea like "What if Violet Evergarden". So i edited roughly the last minute of this AMV to see if the running climax would work with this song. Which it did, if only barely so. But i liked the idea so i decided to further develop this AMV.
This AMV was also my testbed for working with 4K UHD Blu Ray footage. I've never done so before and there weren't really any guides out there. UHDs are tricky for editing AMVs since the footage is HDR. Editing with HDR is currently a limited option as crucial color data can get lost when converting the footage for the editing software. So your only real option right now is converting the HDR footage to SDR. Which in and of itself can be a small hassle. But as you can see, it's possible. So after initially editing this AMV with SDR 1080p BD footage, i switched it out for 4K UHD footage which had been converted to SDR to look as close as possible to the BD one.
I will probably write a small guide at some point about the basic process of working with 4K UHD footage and converting HDR to SDR. It's not that difficult and most of the steps were found by ceddic and VideoBeats, big thanks for that! Special thanks to DaMasta, Noss and Zest for Beta testing. See you next time!

I've started editing this AMV right after the movie got released. Due to vacation and other disruptions there were some major breaks in editing.
Endspiel is german for Endgame. I wanted this AMV to feel closer to JAGDMEISTER. It was a bit of a challenge to edit since the way i apporach AMV projects has changed in the past 12 years. Nevertheless i had a good time and am quite happy with the result. So now i'm done and i hope you have a good time watching. Enjoy!

My friends have been talking about Initial D for well over a decade. I mostly only knew it from the Eurobeat memes. So after some additional persuasion, i started watching Initial D in early December of 2021. While doing so, the Trailer Song of the recent Battlefield 2042 came to mind and suddenly this AMV idea was born. A few days earlier i had signed up for the animemusikvideos.de Secret Santa. So i decided to edit this AMV for Amkuku.
Editing was mostly done in the week before and after Christmas. Special thanks to Zest for keeping me company and also for font support, as well as ceddic for Beta testing. More AMVs soon.
I've been wanting to do a Escaflowne AMV for quite some time now. The TV series that is. I've been watching it late at night during my early youth and have the fondest memories of it. However, the songs never seemed right for an AMV. Then in early 2021 i heard this song in yet another Nostromo Japan travel video and the mood seemed just right. However, the lyrics were a catastrophy up to the point that i'm convinced they were written by an AI as a joke. I couldn't confirm this but if you find anything about the background of this song, please let me know. The lyrics were the one offputting thing about this AMV idea, but finally i was confident to make them work at least 60% of the time.
When the end of October 2021 came by, i just couldn't let this idea rest anymore and started to edit. Editing was fun and came rather easy and so most of the AMV was done within 10 days. Due to beta feedback from my friends ceddic, JCD, Noss, Sojiro and VideoBeats i decided to let the almost finished video rest for a bit to overthink some of the parts. Then in early December i made the final push and here it is.
I'm currently working on another AMV which is almost done. However, i likely won't be able to put it on YouTube for some time due to Rammstein blocking all reuploads of this song. I will make an announcement on YT and Twitter once the AMV becomes available elsewhere. There also could be yet another new AMV in early January. And a new Lupin III TV series is currently running, so you know what that means.
Finally, I have been consuming tons of Media in 2021. I never watched more Anime or played more Video Games in any given year. I also played and finished almost all of the TLoH/Trails games (Sky/Zero/Azure/Cold Steel) and it was mainly due to the Cold Steel series that i came to edit this AMV. Having 'Trails' in the title of this AMV is a nod to that. I also acknowledge, that i've become less productive and i'm not sure what this means for the long term future. But for now i will keep pushing. So, see you next time!
Tokyo Godfathers is a great movie and probably my favorite work by Satoshi Kon. It's a weird Christmas story that seems to be filled with references, most of which likely went over my head. I first watched it in 2016. Around the same time my father suggested the band Supertramp for listening. One of the songs he suggested was Take the Long Way Home, which i came to like quite a lot. A short time after the basic idea for this AMV formed in my head. I was planning to edit it around Christmas 2016. But then PieAndBeer released his AMV to Tokyo Godfathers and so i wasn't too keen to edit this idea next and pushed the AMV into the future. Four years later the amvde Secret Santa 2020 came around with a new opportunity.
I was tasked with editing an AMV for IT2PYRO. Originally in trouble with his wish, i decided to edit an idea that i wanted to make instead. And so i came back to this concept and build it throughout December of 2020. I barely made the Deadline and had to make some additional changes in early January 2021. But now i'm done and happy to finally have this AMV off my mind. Special thanks to Sojiro for hosting and the beta feedback.
I will probably take a short break from editing and be back in a couple of months. I've been editing ever since October and now i need a some time for new ideas. I still aim to have another 2-3 AMVs in 2021 and i already have a basic idea which those could be. But it's also good to edit a fresh idea every once in a while. I wish you a happy new year and hope to be back soon. So long.

I like Violet Evergarden. And I love this Spin-Off movie "Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll". To me it's a 5-Star Masterpiece and even better than the TV Series. Well, that might just be me. When first watching this movie I was looking for a moody tone and nice animations. And then the story hit me right in the feels. The movie deals with regret, which worked well for me. While watching and rewatching it, I had this german song in my head. The song is kinda well known in germany, very cheesy and will likely trigger some german viewers. But as for the lyrics and mood, it worked far too well for me. The song is meant as a message to somebody you long for, but are not sure they even exists. Which is basically the story of the movie. Check out the subtitles.
So in June of 2020 i started editing this AMV. I felt like it should exist. Though it really took me until October before editing most of it. I had a nice summer full of Games and Anime instead. Sorry for the delay.
I love editing AMVs the way i do. I love cutting and telling stories and just doing stuff. It still brings me joy. After editing over 40 main projects though it's become harder to feel which AMV ideas are worth pursuing. Most of my AMV ideas these days are of equal value to me. Which makes it hard to narrow down in what to edit next and more often than not this leads to gridlock. I made this AMV because i love this movie. Maybe you'll get some feels out of it as well. Please enjoy!
Special thanks to JCD for beta testing and Zest for motivation! Oh and btw, AnT stands for "Amy & Taylor", the names of the two protagonists. Crazy, i know. See you next time.
On my recent Japan vacation in December 2019, me and two friends went to the movies and watched the new Lupin III. I had already seen the Trailers before and was pretty excited for it. And i was not disappointed. It’s a great movie that you should watch, preferably before watching this AMV. However, even if you watch this AMV first there’s a great many things i just couldn’t cover and had to leave out. Go watch this movie and treat yourself.
Even before watching 'The First' i was open to the idea of editing an AMV to it based on the Trailers alone. But editing CGI is a rather different beast from editing Anime. Fortunately, the animations are very well thought out and rather Anime like so working with it felt natural rather quickly. There are some limiting factory since i couldn’t change the playback speed at will as it would look silly. Still, I think this AMV turned out quite nicely and i hope you’re having a good time watching it.
I first heard this version of Blue Monday in the WW84 trailer which was released around the same day i watched the movie. It’s a fantastic trailer and I immediately had the idea of editing this Anime to it. I think the song transports the epic and light hearted themes of this movie well. Special thanks to Zest and Shirahiko.
I've been curious about Nadia ever since watching a few episodes TV way back. So in 2017 I rewatched the whole series. The touches of Hideaki Anno and early Gainax can be seen throughout the show which is great. Many scenes reminded me of Gunbuster and Evangelion. But as a series it’s a bit less focused in its storytelling and stuffed with filler episodes, likely to be more family friendly. So I decided to create this AMV to highlight the core story and animations. Nadia is more than what you see in this AMV but these are the parts that brought me the most joy.
I got the idea for this AMV back in 2017 after releasing my Gunbuster AMV 'Finest Hour' and it stuck with me ever since. Recently it became more of a gridlock in my passion for editing. I didn’t want to give up on the concept but felt that after two years of waiting i might never come to edit this six minute long AMV. I laid some ground work in April 2019 and edited some 20 seconds as proof of concept to see if this AMV could actually work. Then it took me until late March 2020 before i actually got around to start editing the whole thing.
The name was inspired by the 2017 Churchill movie and is also meant as a reference to my aforementioned Gunbuster AMV. I first heard the song 'Afterthought' in the 2012 'Apparences Fireworks Remix' by Nostromo. The first shot with the Eiffel Tower and the fireworks is meant as a nod to that. Special thanks to my beta testers ceddic, JadeCharm, Noss, Sojiro, Streicher, VideoBeats and Zest for the support.

Earlier this year me and some friends went to Japan. While there i watched the new City Hunter movie 'Shinjuku Private Eyes'. It has great animations and a decent enough plot, which made me want to edit to it (though i was planning on working with it ever since the first trailer). My first idea was pairing the movie with a cover version of the City Hunter ending song 'Get Wild' by 'Halko Momoi'. But upon rewatching it didn’t seem like the best choice. With the footage at hand I went for a slightly more aggressive tone. Then I found the Song 'The Day Is My Enemy' by 'The Prodigy', made some adjustments to it and started editing by early November. My original plan was having this AMV done within three weeks, but there was more work to do than initially anticipated.
But now it's finished so please enjoy!
A few more thoughts: Editing this AMV was fun to me. I already started working on my next video back in summer and plan to release it by early next year. 2019 was the first year since me starting AMV where i didn’t edit at least one Video to Mecha Anime. It's become kind of a tradition over the years. But since i had three Mecha AMVs in 2018, i hope you don't mind too much. I’m also aware of the upcoming Lupin III CGI movie 'The First' and will watch it very soon. 2019 has also been my biggest Year on YouTube so far. However, following new developments around copyright laws and Google I'm a little uncertain if AMVs can and will stay on YouTube for long. The audience YT provides has a huge factor in fueling my passion for AMVs these days and as long as you're here and i'm here, i will keep it up. So, see you next time.
A new sequel to "Jigen's Gravestone" and „Goemon Ishikawa’s Spray of Blood“ has been released. It's called "Fujiko Mine’s Lie" and has some great animations and a few fun surprises for fans that i don’t spoil with this AMV. So you should definitely watch it!
Back in 2015 i created a little AMV called Cold and Bloody which somehow became my most well known one. I also made an AMV to the sequel movie and called it Blood Oath. And then two more Lupin the Third AMVs to the TV Shows Part 4 and Part 5.
Blood Bee is an AMV about Fujiko Mine looking out for the child of a former employer. I first heard this song Back to Life on the Bumblebee Movie Soundtrack and immediately thought of the upcoming Fujiko movie. Fortunately in the end it suited the Anime quite well. There’s also a few parallels between both movies. This time around there were many good scenes that would have made for great fan service but that i just couldn't fit in. So don’t miss out on watching Fujiko Mine’s Lie!
I hope you enjoyed this AMV. Editing is still fun to me and i have some ideas of where to go to next. Editing Blood Bee was refreshing and almost felt like a breeze. But recently more often i feel kinda burned out from AMV. I have some new AMVs in progress. But my next one might take a little longer. And there likely won't be any new Lupin III AMVs from me in the next two years.
Thank you for sticking around and reading all this. See you next time!
With this video I want to celebrate the animations of Lupin the Third Part 5, but also explore the new character dynamics between Fujiko, Lupin and Ami. For that i took the song Paris from The Chainsmokers, which i had been eying on since October 2018. Since Part 5 is set in France it was a rather obvious choice and also fits the mood. But since i already know good AMVs to this song, for the past four months i was trying to find a better one. Which i didn't. When i started editing this AMV about three weeks ago, at first i went full drama and cut everything in a serious dark tone, almost like a revenge story. Then i toned it down a little to be more lighthearted like the show. Part 5 is an entertaining show that i enjoyed quite a lot. Unlike Part IV, this series consists of multiple loosely connected story arcs which made it slightly challenging to compile it into one story driven AMV. I hope you still get what Part 5 is about and check it out. It's really good!
This is my first Lupin III AMV since Alight which was released over a year ago, and comes almost two years after Blood Oath in 2017 (and almost 4 since Cold and Bloody D:). I took a short break from the franchise recently. But I might release two more Lupin III AMVs in the next few months. The first of these two could be here as early as May, depending how i feel about the concept. Special thanks to Zest and Sojiro for beta testing. Also shout-out to Foolyjoo, who does fantastic AMVs and also edited with this song before.

Due to catching a cold in December i got the chance to catch up on a bunch of 2018 Anime. I was originally planning to edit throughout that time but was forced to lay low. This is when i watched Violet Evergarden. It’s one of the, if not the, prettiest Anime TV series of the past few years. It’s also rather heavy on sad themes. Though in general I prefer to edit AMVs with a brighter mood, this idea touched me, partly due to recent events. There's still some things that weight down on me. So I try to put them to good use.
I first heard the song I'll Keep Coming by Low Road in the 2016 E3 trailer for Death Stranding. I'm a fan of Hideo Kojima and currently looking forward to this video game. I liked the song right away but didn't make much of it in terms of AMV. The idea to pair it with Violet Evergarden struck me on a train ride 2 months ago. I took some breaks while editing, partly due to catching yet another cold. Which led to watching even more Anime and also more AMV ideas. So there should be more. Soon. Special thanks to Noss, Sojiro and Zest for their good suggestions of improvement.
Part 3 of this trilogy of AMVs to the new Anime series Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory. After ON MY OWN and ONE MAN FORCE the protagonists are at their lowest point. It’s here where the story starts to build up towards the grand finale.
This arc has some of the strongest but also weakest animations of Full Metal Panic! Invisible Victory. While i love the story and most of the CGI, it was hard to work around some of the character animations. If you plan on making an AMV to this series, skip the story and focus on the Mecha actions. There’s plenty more than what i’ve used. I’ve gone this route because i wanted to edit this AMV ever since 2013 when i first had this idea. An idea to an Anime that didn’t exist back then. But i wanted to make true on a promise i made to myself. So here it is. Make My Day.
If there ever will be another FMP Anime series i will return for 2 final AMVs to close out this series. I’ll also probably do 1-2 more FMP AMVs over the coming years. But the next few AMVs will be something entirely different. And there will also be more Lupin III.
As for this song, i’ve loved it ever since i first heard it in Prodigi’s AMV „Remember Me“. He’s no longer editing AMVs but his works are still an inspiration to a couple editors today. My 2010 AMV „Dealing with Life“ was also inspired by his works. And I was fortunate enough to have met him multiple times in 2012 and 2013. Please check out his AMVs. Special thanks to VideoBeats and JooDamn for beta testing this AMV.
I've been working on this AMV every day for the past three weeks. I'm not exactly sure why i did this but probably to push myself. Or maybe because i could. About a week ago i set myself the goal to release this AMV today on October 26. I'm feeling rather tired now. But i'm also glad that i made it in time. I'll probably take the evening off, have a few beers and then start with part 3 tomorrow. Which will be an interesting challenge and hopefully a worthy conclusion to this little trilogy of Full Metal Panic! AMVs. I'm already burning to get my hands on that sweet footage of the final few episodes. But ONE MAN FORCE comes first.
ONE MAN FORCE is a very bittersweet story arc in the FMP series. It's so much fun at first and then hits you like a train towards the ending. Which is why i edited THAT ONE part last. It still saddens me. Like with ON MY OWN i had the idea for this AMV back in 2011. However, editing this AMV was much more of a task. The work load of this AMV was easily twice that of OMO.
Pretender is a song that helped me through some uncertain times in my life in 2012-2014. I had build up a good amount of hate which ultimately led me to change a few things in my life. I now remember that this was the song i listened to after my final day of work, before going back to college. It’s a simple song but a damn powerful one.
If things go as planned the third and Final Full Metal Panic! AMV will be here within the next month. And after that we’ll have something special for christmas. So long.
Full Metal Panic! is a franchise very dear to me. It's part of my life. I've been hooked to it ever since 2004. When the Anime didn't continue after 2006 i started reading spoilers for the light novels. Then i read the Manga called "Sigma". Then i read the light novels itself. To this day i'm spending a good share of my time with this fandom. In 2011 I started a blog about it to support it and i'm still engaged with that.
In 2011 i also read the Manga adaptation to the 7th FMP light novel "On My Own". I was so fascinated by it that i started imagining what an AMV to it would look like. I found this song back then due to Umika - may she rest in peace. Over the years i started laying down a plan for how to adapt each FMP story arc into an AMV. Even though i had little hope that there would ever be another Anime adaptation, i kept dreaming and found some very solid concepts that stuck with me until this very day.
At times i was thinking about just animating the Manga myself as a Manga music video. But then in 2015 the fourth Anime season "Invisible Victory" got announced. And suddenly it's 2018 and here we are. Not everything in the Anime was as i had imagined it to be. And quite frankly, how could it have been? But there was enough good stuff to create an AMV at least 90% close to what i had in mind all these years ago.
This one is likely the first of three consecutive AMVs to the new FMP season. I’ve already started working on the second AMV and i hope to have all three out before the end of 2018. After that i'll be working on my AMV to Lupin the Third Part 5. Thank you for reading all of this. Feel loved.

Though the LWA TV series is not as good as it could be, there's stuff in it that desperately made me want to edit to it. You probably know which parts i mean.
Finding a song for this Anime wasn't easy. I had about 50 in my short list. In the end, Something Just Like This was the perfect choice as it captures the light hearted and dramatic tones of the series well.
Finishing this AMV was hard for me. I hope that my future works will come at a faster pace. Thank you to zest and Sojiro for your feedback in beta testing and thanks to you - the viewer - for your support!
To me Lupin works better as a TV show than a movie. There have been 2 good movies recently. And there also were two fantastic TV shows, one of which called 'Part IV'. In early 2016 this show helped me through some tough times while studying. It was my highlight each week in an otherwise busy time. And since my AMV 'Cold and Bloody' got quite a few fans i was planning on doing my next Lupin III AMV to this show. But then Blood Oath happened and a bunch of other stuff. So i postponed editing this AMV repeatedly. But in October 2017 i was finally out of excuses. It was now or never.
I'm sorry it took so long. Please check out this Anime. I promise you it's delightful. Right now I'm not planning on doing any more Lupin III AMVs. My slate is clean. However, there's gonna be a new Lupin III TV series in April called 'Part V'. And maybe there will be more movies at some point. So we'll see.
I like Gunbuster. It deals with time and space and wraps my mind. I like the characters and their sacrifices. It's a pretty epic 6-part Anime OVA from the director of Evangelion and worth your time.
After finishing my last Lupin III AMV "Blood Oath" i wanted to edit to Your Name. However, there were no BluRays yet. So I was looking for another classic Anime to work with. Gunbuster came to mind. At first i wanted to edit to The Chain by Fleetwood Mac. A song i may use in another future AMV. But then i went for this Turn It Up remix that Pic4 suggested for the Faction 4 mix. It translates the heavy as well as the light hearted emotions from the Anime much better . I edited most of the AMV in late May/early June. But since i wasn't happy with the beta i paused the project and moved on to Chimera.
I feel like there haven't been many good Gunbuster AMVs. And i don't know if this one will change the trend. I didn't want to crop the Anime to 16/9 as i prefer it's original aspect ratio. However, episode 6 is in cinema scope. So i upscaled it to 2142/1076 and recreated the 4:3 AR in Vegas Pro by picking the best 1432/1076 frame area for each scene. It was somewhat challenging but also a lot of fun as i had full creative freedom about which section of the frame i was going to use. Episode 6 also is black and white. From what i understand this is due to production problems back when they were creating it. Most Gunbuster AMVs usually skip this episode. But it had to be in this AMV if only for fanboy reasons. I hope you don't mind the black and white too much.
ceddic, JadeCharm, Pic4 and Sojiro all beta tested the AMV at various stages. JadeCharm convinced me to release the AMV at AkrossCon 2017. I wasn't planning to participate at Akross again after Streetwalker in 2015. But i guess it helped me to finally finish this AMV. The next one shouldn't be too far out.

I'm not a huge fan of Bakemonogatari. I like it just fine but it's never been special to me. In January of 2017 some friends took me to the movies to watch all three Kizumonogatari parts back to back. I loved it. The animations are fantastic. The gore, the fan service and the humor is all right up my alley. I had some good laughs and even some feels. I wanted to edit to it to show that the Monogatari universe can be more than memes and lolis. Even if you don't care about the rest of the series, check out these three prequel movies. They work stand alone!
I first heard Waving Goodbye from Sia when watching The Neon Demon in 2016. I wanted to edit this song right away but only had the idea for this AMV about a year later. If you have watched the Neon Demon you might see how it deals with topics similar to Kizumonogatari. If not i won't spoil it for you.
I hope you enjoy this AMV. I had to halt editing for some time to finish my studies but now i got my master's degree. I'm back. Thank you to all new subscribers for supporting my last AMV Blood Oath. You changed this channel and made my day every day for the past four months. It will probably take until summer of 2018 before i edit Lupin III again. But i'm not done with that franchise yet. One of my upcoming AMVs will be to Your Name.
A sequel to "Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" has been released. It's called "The Blood Spray of Goemon Ishikawa" and is fantastic. Maybe you should watch it before this AMV.
Back in 2015 i created a little AMV called Cold and Bloody which somehow became my most well known one. Though i did plan on making another Lupin III AMV, the next one was originally supposed to be to the 2015 Part IV TV series. However, i'm short on time right now so that one got pushed back a little.
Blood Oath is a AMV about the Samurai Goemon and his journey to find himself. That's pretty much all there is to it. The song "Way Down We Go" is from the second Logan Trailer. I felt that Logan and this Anime dealt with similar themes. I didn't want to go too hard on the action parts and rather build it slowly. Though this source is fantastic and there's some great stuff i had to leave out.
I hope you like this AMV. I'm glad i was able to do it. Now i need a break.

Gundam Thunderbolt is an Anime that weirded the fuck out of me first time watching. One weekend some friends came over for Marvel's Cap3 and suggested to watch Thunderbolt first. To counter the sickening experience, afterwards we went to lifeleak to watch russian dashcams.
Anyway, Thunderbolt is pretty much the best Gundam Anime i've ever seen and i've seen four. It wants to hurt you but also gives you some lovely, lovely animations. Go check it out!
I created 95% of this AMV in January of 2016 and then waited a year to do some final changes for a release exactly one year after i started. The delay was mostly due to me not being sure how to finish it. It started as a very quick project. I just skipped through the Anime without even seeing it and decided to edit it. But once editing was mostly done i saw that i got the Anime rather wrong and had to fix the AMV in certain parts.
I'm a mechanical engineer. It's not an easy profession but it can be rather fullfilling. Seeing these guys reminded me of my work. THEY'RE BASICALLY ENGINEERS TOO. The twitch community has a habbit of turning basically into Basic lee. And since i'm streaming my editing process on twitch now, Engineering Basic Lee became the name of this AMV. Please enjoy. More AMVs will soon follow.
ANIME: Evangelion 2.22 - You Can (Not) Advance MUSIC: Danny Elfman - Avengers Unite (from the Avengers: Age Of Ultron soundtrack) EDITOR: Cenit
----------------------------------------
A short fun project. I was listening to the Age Of Ultron soundtrack recently and found this song to be my favorite one. Especially because of the second half when the drums kick in. My first footage idea was to use the end fight of "Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid" but once it came to me "Evangelion 2.22" was the obvious choice.
The name Evangers is a combination of the two words Evange-lion and Ave-ngers. By sheer coincidence Evangers is also an anagram to Avengers. Who would have thought? By now the combo seems rather obvious.
The "Race Of Sahaquiel" line in the logo is a stand-in. I will use this subtitle when refering to this AMV if i ever decide to make a second Evangers fun video. Right now no further Evangelion projects are planned.
I'm creating AMVs for 10 years now. Spike's Innervision is the first AMV i ever uloaded to the web. I did so on April 27, 2006. It was a bad AMV even back then but it is my first. And i probably would have forgotten about it if I didn't have this one friend who says it is my best (which we know it isn't, that would be Hamburg). In order to have a version both he and i can enjoy i created this reimagination.
Ever since 2009 i planned on remaking my 2006 Cowboy Bebop AMV. I did a short HD test video back then which was a lot like the first 15 seconds of this AMV.
90% of Innervision was edited in late August 2015 between All Limiters Off and Boom Clap Panic. Back then i was assuming that once my 10th Anniversary would come around i might not be too motivated for editing. And how right i was. I'm rather busy right now but also happy that after 8 months of waiting i'm finally able to release this AMV right on time.
After 10 years of AMV editing i can't really say that much other than that i'll probably continue to edit for another 2-3 years depending on how much fun it stays for me. I'm rather fond of the hobby and being out of touch with the trends of the community doesn't really bother me. But i notice that i'm also getting much more focused on the things that matter in life. So we'll see ;)
The name is a word creation my 2006 self came up with (no insult/infringement intended, i'm not a native english speaker and this is how it happened). I thought that innervision would mean insight, like giving insight into the character Spike. I now know that this is not the case. Still like the word Innervision because it sounds nice so i kept it for this videos title.
"From Up on Poppy Hill" is probably my favorite Studio Ghibli film. I'm not saying this as a contrarian. Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away and most of the others are incredible films! But I love the setting and characters of Poppy Hill way too much. And the group dynamic is just adorable. It's not a perfect film but like i said it is my favorite Ghibli.
I got the idea to this AMV three months ago on a Taxi ride with the song was playing on the radio. Until then Poppy Hill seemed too much of a task to translate into AMV. The story is not that easy to adapt because it's partly romance but strangely restricted by some weird coincidences that I can't really explain here. However, the cool kids/underdog angle to the story was what finally convinced me to do the AMV.
The name derives from the TV series House of Cards. It's meant to reflect on the club house that is central to the story as well as the romance parts.
I hope you'll enjoy the AMV and check out the film.
This was supposed to be my last AMV of 2015, but because of Akross being slow (took them 12 days to release it, last time it was 3), this is now my first AMV of 2016. Bye bye VCA :(. Anyway welcome to my third attempt at AkrossCon. After 'Dealing With Life' in 2010 and 'Runaway Boy' in 2012 i'm quite happy with what might be my final entry for that contest. This video was always meant for Akross and their community. Otherwise i probably wouldn't have edited it.
So after my last AMV Gurren Lagann Orchestral i was kinda burned out and felt like i would need to take a break. 2015 has been a crazy year for me but i hope to create many more new videos in 2016. But 2015 was also a lot of tying up loose ends and finishing old projects (and creating my soon to be released 10-year editor anniversary AMV which you soon will be able to find here). It took me a couple of Iron-Chefs and MEPs to get back into the swing.
I really loved the early Gangsta episodes and wanted to edit to it. However, the Anime did not proceed like i hoped it would. And i knew that if i would ever want to edit to it, I should do so now. Because in the end it's not a very good Anime and will likely be forgotten soon. But everything was already in place so i decided to stop complaining and just do it.
I started editing late November 2015. Things went easy at first but i faced some real challenges connecting the dots. There was just not enough character based violence for the end. Not enough drama for the middle part. Once again I had to compromise and include story threads that i originally did not intend to use. Like the kissing in the rain. Originally i wanted to portray the two male leads even more crazy and ruthless towards the girl. I wanted the revenge to feel more like it was just fun for them. That they just walked through the life of the girl because it pleases them. That they actually didn't care about her and were just out for blood. I kinda did that. That's kinda how it goes in the Anime. But i my head it was up to 11. I still like the outcome.
The AMV changed quite a bit during beta testing. I always had planned for color corrections but didn't include them in the beta. Sojiro suggested to go all Jessica Jones, which i had considered before. His approval was all it needed. He also showed me some tricks in photoshop and i developed my visual concept from there. ceddic helped my with achieving these goals in Sony Vegas while we collaboratively working on Mc Force. Pic4 noticed some major flaws in the original audio file which lead me to purchase a FLAC file of the song. Big thank you to all three! Now here's to waiting for the AkrossCon 2015 results!
I'm not claiming this to be an original idea in any way. It's the best i could do in the time given and therefor it really did pay off. If following my original plans, there would be 2 other videos for 2010 that are still in work, but as always i was short on time due to exams and FACTION. So yeah i love this one and yes instead of my last one i am proud about this. Have fun watching.
This is a tribute to those Evangelion-Rammstein AMV's that got me into editing. Since there are new Evangelion movies and also a new Rammstein album, this was the perfect time to do it and since nothing else was possible in that short amount of time left, i did it. I started immediatly after my last exam on July 2nd instead of going to a party with my folks and kept working the whole weekend and the weekend after that (some breaks included for playing Titan Quest). I remastered it for real 60fps after Connichi so here it is. Nothing more to say. Oh before i forget i kinda toyed around in the intro ... don't pay too much attention to this.

In early 2009 i was experimenting with cutting music. This was way before FACTION. I had a lot of fun putting together a mix for various bands or genres. So at one point in February 2009 i did cut some soundtracks and got this mix. I didn't plan on using it for anything. I just liked to listen to it. And then 2 days later i went out with some friends, got wasted. returned home and edited the whole evening through. There i laid down what would later become the first minute. I had the AMV basically mapped out and what you see today is very much what i had in mind back then. And so i continued for a couple more days and basically finished the first 3 minutes. At which point i didn't know how to proceed.
Doing a 10 min AMV seemed ridiculous. And who would want to watch that? So i thought about cutting the AMV and only release the first 3 min. Or release the AMV in parts. But i loved the mix so much that i didn't want to split it up. And neither do it in parts. And i already had a pretty sweet concept. So i stuck to my guts and decided to let it rest a bit and finish it later/whenever i felt like it.
But it became clear to me not long after that this wasn't that easy. There were so many scenes to collect. So many difficult parts that i couldn't really figure out. So many Gurren Lagann AMVs already out there. Which led to slow/no progress for years to come. But every once in a while when i felt like it i would open the project. Be it to edit or just watch the already finished parts. I fell in love with the project. I couldn't bring myself to drop it. Or rush it through. It became my mission, regardless of how long it would take me.
It was fall 2011 when i started a new AMV for AkrossCon 2011. It was supposed to be my first 1080p AMV in 48 fps. This was also supposed to top JAGDMEISTER like most of my AMVs back then. But i didn't fully think it through. And so i stopped working on this project in early 2012 after already missing the AkrossCon deadline. I left the project with about 20% done. And it wasn't until February 2015 when i picked up the project again and brought it to over 70% completion. From there it was only a walk in the park. I did some editing every now and then and got it done right in time for Connichi 2015 deadline. I'm rather surprised this was actually this easy. Just do it.

I wanted to do a AMV to "Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone" ever since i first watched it. At first i planned for doing a "Renegade: VERSUS 2" with lots of other Lupin Anime but i decided against that idea and for a short fun project as i'm generally short on time these days.
The name simply describes the tone of the AMV. I did not want to call it "Renegade: ..." because this is a completely different type of AMV and it didn't feel right. So "Cold And Bloody" it is.
Don't forget to watch my sequel AMV Blood Oath featuring the Anime Goemon Ishikawa's Spray of Blood.
