Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files is an expanded edition of the second installment in the popular platformer series, following the adventures of the fearless rabbit Jazz. The title premiered in Europe and North America in 1998, and was released in Poland in the first half of 1999. The game was once again developed by the Project Two Interactive duo – Arjan Brussee and Cliff Bleszinski. Currently, Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is available as a Collector's Edition on GOG.com. It includes Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Secret Files and the Christmas expansion, Jazz Jackrabbit 2: The Christmas Chronicles, released in 1998.
Plot
This game continues the story of the first installment in the series. The titular character intends to marry his longtime girlfriend, Princess Eva Earlong, but his plans are thwarted by his arch-nemesis, Devan Shell, who steals her engagement ring with a precious diamond. To make matters worse, Eva's hostile mother throws Jazz and his brother, Spaz, into a dungeon. However, the rabbits manage to escape and together they set out on a hunt for the villainous turtle. Their goal is not only to recover the precious diamond but also to punish Devan for his misdeeds.
