It was one of the most notorious criminal trials in American history.
If OJ didn't do It...then who did? Mobsters? Drug Dealers? A Serial Killer named Glen Rogers?
He was known as the “Casanova Killer” and the “Cross-Country Killer,” but his real name is Glen Edward Rogers. In 1992, at age 30, already with a criminal history of theft, pimping, assault, and a few suicide attempts behind him, Rogers was working as a construction worker and house painter in California, which led to him meeting Nicole Brown Simpson when she allegedly hired him to paint her condo. They reportedly “partied” together. Once Rogers discovered Nicole was wealthy, he is said to have claimed to friends that he was “going to take her down.”

“The Real Story Of Thanksgiving”
After the end of the American Civil War and the abolition of slavery, many African Americans and some whites in the rural South made a living by renting small plots of land from large landowners who were usually white and pledging a percentage of their crops to the landowners at harvest
...a system known as sharecropping.
Landowners provided sharecroppers with land, seeds, tools, clothing, and food. Charges for the supplies were deducted from the sharecroppers’ portion of the harvest, leaving them with substantial debt to landowners in bad years.
Sharecroppers would become caught in continual debt, especially during weak harvests or periods of low prices, such as when cotton prices fell in the 1880s and ’90s. Once in debt, sharecroppers were forbidden by law to leave the landowner’s property until their debt was paid, effectively putting them in a state of slavery to the landowner.

Peon owners used the violence akin to that of slavery to force black people to work off imagined debts with unpaid labor. Like most peons, the Wall family were not permitted to leave the land, were illiterate, and were under the impression that "all black people were being treated like that
Legally, peonage was outlawed by Congress in 1867. However, after Reconstruction, many Southern black men were swept into peonage though different methods, and the system was not completely eradicated until the 1960s
When Mae was about 17, she decided she would no longer go up to the house. Her family pleaded with her as the punishment would come down on all of them. Mae refused and sassed the farm owner’s wife when she told her to work. Worrying that Mae would be killed by the owners, Cain beat his own daughter bloody in hopes of saving her.
That evening still covered in blood, Mae ran away through the woods. She was hiding in the bushes by the road when a family rode by with their mule cart. The lady on the cart saw the bush moving. She got off to find Mae crying, bloodied and terrified. That white family took her in and rescued the rest of the Wall’s later that night.

On December 11, 1964, Sam Cooke, was shot to death by Bertha Lee Franklin, manager of the Hacienda Motel in Los Angeles, CA. Franklin killed Cooke in what was ruled by the courts to be a justifiable homicide.
In the 1950s and 1960s, if you wanted to get the party going, you put on Sam Cooke.
Hell, even today, Cooke’s songs can be heard at many family barbecues, house-warming parties, and more. He’s a staple on soul radio and a signature American artist.
Cooke helped the careers of other legends, including Aretha Franklin, Al Green, Curtis Mayfield, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and more. He also helped to popularize the music of Otis Redding and James Brown.
He leveraged his influence and popularity with both the white and black populations to fight for equal rights for African-Americans. He even helped to organize sessions with major figures, including Muhammad Ali, Malcolm X, and Jim Brown.
Elisa Boyer said she was “kidnapped” by Sam and couldn’t escape because his car was going too fast. Yet when Sam went to the motel window to register, Boyer was left alone in the car. She could’ve escaped or yelled for help. Moreover, if it was Sam’s intention to rape Boyer, why would he have registered under his real name?
Boyer’s story was only investigated in order to corroborate Franklin’s statement and not as a separate line of evidence. As Cooke’s friend Muhammad Ali suggested at the time: “If Cooke had been Frank Sinatra, the Beatles or Ricky Nelson, the FBI would be investigating.”
Many theorists believe that if there is a conspiracy at hand then it may well have been perpetrated by his manager Allen Klein. Klein was the owner of Tracey, Ltd and following Cooke’s death, he ultimately owned the rights to his recordings. With his star growing, the sad death of Cooke proved highly profitable for the music mogul. However, aside from a renowned ruthless attitude and reports of a rift between Cooke and Klein, no evidence has ever been found that could tie him to the case.
Considering that the FBI was actively watching Ali at the time as a racial aggravator, some theorists have claimed that the FBI themselves could’ve had a hand in Cooke’s death owing to his prominent position in the Civil Rights movement. There is wide evidence that Ali was under surveillance by Ali and Cooke may well have been as well given their friendship.
His aspirations for equality eventually took a large toll on him. Some even say this was the main reason that he lost his life. Despite this, there is a lot is missing information about the life of this incredible man. Or, more specifically, his death in 1964 remains shrouded in mystery and darkness.
He was just 33 years old.

Rector was born to Joseph and Rose Rector on March 3, 1902, in a two-room cabin near Twine, Oklahoma on Muscogee Creek Indian allotment land. Both Joseph and Rose had enslaved Creek ancestry, and both of their fathers fought with the Union Army during the Civil War. When Oklahoma statehood became imminent in 1907, the Dawes Allotment Act divided Creek lands among the Creeks and their former slaves with a termination date of 1906. Rector’s parents, Sarah Rector herself, her brother, Joe, Jr., and sister Rebecca all received land. Lands granted to former slaves were usually the rocky lands of poorer agricultural quality. Rector’s allotment of 160 acres was valued at $556.50

The group was formed in response to the ongoing racial violence and intimidation faced by African Americans during the Civil Rights Movement. The Deacons aimed to protect themselves, their families, and their communities from acts of violence and racism. They played a significant role in organizing armed patrols and providing security for civil rights activists and African American communities in the South. The Deacons for Defense and Justice were instrumental in the fight for equal rights and social justice during that time.

Although the name Freaknik now conjures images of scantily clad, curvaceous women, crowded streets, and Sodom and Gomorrah–style public fun (and to some, lewd violence and animalistic behavior that denigrated and shamed Atlanta’s Black community), it had humble beginnings. It all started in 1982 as a small picnic thrown by Spelman and Morris Brown students who needed a little hip midterm get-down. Soon, the picnic began to attract other students from nearby Black colleges like Morehouse and Clark Atlanta. Where’d the infamous name Freaknik come from? A ’70s dance called the “The Bump,” also known as freaking.
