Parenting, relationships, the environment, phones… our world is going through lots of changes and things are getting more and more confusing these days.
Which makes it the perfect time to promote Burger King’s latest confusing innovation: plant-based nuggets. Chicken nuggets that got no chicken… but taste like chicken…
Burger King focused on some of the most relatable topics and insights for our plant-based target and used them to craft a campaign and show our consumers just how positively confusing the taste of our plant-based nuggets is.
After introducing a confusingly tasty Whopper without beef, Burger King wanted to promote newly confusing additions to its menu: plant-based chicken nuggets and sandwiches… without chicken.

Trapped in Google’s shadow, Bing needed to give people a reason to use its services and break some deeply entrenched user habits. Droga5 had to make a big splash — a major cultural moment that showed off the power of Bing’s capabilities and would get millions of people excited to use it.
By placing all the pages of text of 'Decoded' on the locations where it took place and showing them in Bing Maps, the campaign resulted in a successful launch of his memories and an increase in traffic for Microsft's Bing.

Why?
BIPOC Canadians are underrepresented in the ad industry. Many of these young minds never even consider a career as an advertising creative. Why? Because often there is no door for them to enter the industry.
About
The 20Doors Scholarship Fund is about opening doors for new voices. The initiative will cover the tuition for four BIPOC candidates each year, over the next five years, to complete a year-long post-graduate program in copywriting or art direction.
Additionally, Zulu Alpha Kilo will provide recipients with the mentorship they need to start a successful career in advertising.
We know the next generation of creative minds are out there. Maybe you’re one of them.

Wieden + Kennedy, Amsterdam, won the Film Grand Prix at the 2011 Cannes Lions festival on Saturday for its electric Nike "Write the Future" spot, made for the 2010 World Cup.
An extravaganza of a soccer commercial, the three-minute ad featured the world's biggest stars dreaming of glory on and off the field if they triumph at the tournament—and ignominy and scorn if they fail.
There was, undoubtedly, huge pressure. Nike got in touch with an old friend. Wieden+Kennedy had been a partner since 1978,
The ad was viewed over 20 million times online within five weeks of release and led to over double the social media buzz enjoyed by Adidas.

When two women arrive at a Christmas soiree wearing identical red dresses, a face-off ensues, with each woman shooting lasers at their adversary, hoping to eliminate their competition.
Compacts are smashed, glasses are broken, and general chaos abounds.
But all is not lost. Like an Aesop’s Fable, there is a moral to the tale. The film closes with a gorgeous printed Mary Katrantzou dress, with the motto, “Avoid a same dress disaster this season. Harvey Nichols Womenswear.”

The brewer never actually intended to create one. With a media budget for the whole year equal to about half the $4 million price tag for 30 seconds of airtime on the broadcast, it wasn't even an option.
Newcastle released a cheap storyboard version of their ridiculous ad, complete with party sharks, battle apes and cats on skateboards. The campaign racked up over a billion impressions and made nearly every Top Ten Super Bowl list, despite never even airing.
Instead, Newcastle made something better.
It did very well on the advertising award circuit:
Cannes Lions, 2014 Bronze Lion Campaign (INTERNET FILM)
One Show 2014 Advertising Merit Pencil (Non-Broadcast / Online)
AICP SHOW, 2014 Performance / Dialogue Shortlist
ADC Awards, 2014 Advertising Gold (Advertising - Integrated)

How Droga5’s epic non-Super Bowl XLIX ad helped Newcastle Brown Ale hijack the 'Big Game" Ad Bowl.
Arguably one of the best ads from Super Bowl XLIX wasn’t even a Super Bowl ad. With the trend among advertisers to own not only the game night but also the week leading up to the big game, Newcastle Brown Ale was able to swoop into the pre-game fray and deliver an epic send-up of “Super Bowl advertising” that made it the most talked about work of the pre-Bowl.
In other words, the hype around the ad had become more important than the ad itself.
They seized an opportunity to subvert the hype by doing themselves in the most underwhelming way possible. Just because they didn’t spend millions on an ad, didn't mean they can’t join in on the hype.
Following on its “No Bollocks” campaign, which was launched by Droga5 three years before, the beer brand released a series of low-budget, deadpan funny online spots that adheres to the campaign directive: “take the bullshit out of beer marketing.”

Kind of.
It’s actually part of a series of web videos from British beer company Newcastle Brown Ale documenting the commercials they didn’t make for the big game because they couldn’t afford them.
Sitting in a hairdresser’s chair, the actress rants about Newcastle, mourning the paycheck she’s not going to receive. The role, had she gotten to play it, would have been stretching her acting chops, because she’s not even sure she’s “beer-commercial hot.”
