Well, with each individual character solo, it felt like I was making three or four separate PMVs. I tried to match the lighting according to the movie, though it didn't work as well for Grasshopper's bit, so I just made it green to set it apart from the other sections.Now, Cooper Dillhoff did suggest a cast. The only thing we didn't agree on was Miss Spider and Old Green Grasshopper. My cast was swapped.I wanted to make it so all the Mane 6 were the six bugs. For Centipede, Rainbow Dash seemed obvious. She is the braggart and prankster always looking for action and adventure. Mrs. Ladybug is the proper one who doesn't like it when people are rude, so even though Fluttershy is more into parks, Rarity had the right attitude. Besides, Fluttershy better fit Earthworm who's afraid of everything. Twilight is the intellectual, just like Grasshopper, and she berates Rainbow for her incompetence as much as Grasshopper does Centipede. Applejack may not be as obvious for Miss Spider, mostly it was for her relationship with Rainbow Dash (wow, we actually doing a canon ship in one of these PMVs?), but I also realized she had a lot of creepy scenes that worked with this song. Also, Miss Spider's probably the most down-to-earth of the group. And Pinkie Pie became the Glowworm by default, but Glowworm does say some pretty random things.

Not as many songs in this one, but still a childhood favorite of mine. Even though Cooper suggested most of the cast, I was actually considering doing this for a while, and most of our casting preferences matched (though not all).Spike, most definitely, was the one I most considered for James (I seem to be on the trend of putting secondary characters in the main roles). I thought of Apple Bloom too, but Spike is the one who goes through an identity crisis just because he wasn't raised by his biological family, and he ends up with a family of a completely different species. I considered showing a different version of the pony character I'd selected for Miss Spider in this scene, but thought it would look a little TOO weird, so just stuck with a regular spider. Kind of ironic, cuz Spike actually doesn't like spiders.As for the filters, I didn't want this looking TOO much like "Nightmare Before Hearth's Warming," as "James and the Giant Peach" actually is brighter in colors, but still wanted this scene to look dark, because Spike/James is supposed to be in an abusive home.
