Opus Owner Adventure Run: Southwest Utah

OPUS Camper USA 2025-02-04 | Check out the new Opus Adventure Run filmed in Utah! We documented three groups of owners as they traveled together in their Opus Campers for a week, each towing an OP4 with various Jeep models. Their journey was filmed by the crew at Blk Elk Media to share the Opus experience with viewers. Follow these three families (who are also neighbors!) as they travel through Southwest Utah and explore places like the Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Gooseberry Mesa.

The group starts their journey at Toquerville Falls. Toquerville Falls is a trail in Southwest Utah with extraordinary waterfalls located on La Verkin Creek. The group hits 26 Water crossings from Toquerville Falls to Rattlesnake Gulch, where they help a Toyota 4Runner out of some trouble, visit a huge canyon for swimming and lunch, and Brandon gets in a precarious situation in his Jeep (but the group changes his tire like a “NASCAR pit crew”)!

The group heads to Gooseberry Mesa to find a camp spot with epic views. However, because this was filmed during Spring Break, their initial plan was occupied. So, the group split up to find a new campsite that would accommodate all three trailers. It wasn’t long before Brad found a killer spot overlooking the entire gorge.

The next day the group visited the Coral Pink San Dunes, while the adults played in their Jeeps, and the kids rode their sandboards down the dunes. They also checked out the South Fork Indian Canyon Pictographs, which is about a two-mile hike to a cave with historical pictographs.

AIR Annex Set-Up: How-To Video

OPUS Camper USA 2022-08-26 | How to set-up your OP4 AIR Annex.

STEPS SHOWN IN VIDEO TO SET-UP YOUR AIR ANNEX:

ATTACH AIR CONNECTION HOSE:
Getting AIR from the main tent to the annex:
Locate the air transfer valve inside your OP4. This is the black valve located on the main air beam door-side, just above the window.
Remove the black valve from air transfer valve and place the grey transfer tube through the black valve and secure it to the black air valve. Secure by threading the top of the black valve over the tube and twisting it on.
Locate the loop hole in the OPUS side wall & place the grey tube through it.

INFLATE MAIN BODY:
Open up the main section of your annex.
Identify the zip & Velcro line which is how you will attach the annex to your main tent and layout lay out your annex with the two front door sections furthest from the camper.

Our recommendation is to then stand between the OPUS and the annex and start zipping at the doorside, walking backwards between the OPUS and the annex as you close the zip. This will assist in locating both the Cross Filling Tube that you installed on the main OPUS tent as well as the receiving valve on the annex·side about half·way along the zip line. The receiving valve is located on the central air pole of your annex

Once located, connect the Cross Filling Tube to the receiving valve on the side of the annex. Ensure the spring is Inside the gray tube to help protect the hose from getting kinked. Install the tube to the receiving valve in the same way as in step (2) except you will need to thread the top of the valve on to the Cross Filling Tube before you push the tube on to the valve. Twist the top of the valve on, to secure the tube in place.

Open the valve on the annex·Side. Finish zipping the annex to the side of the OPUS and fold the Velcro flap over the zip

Ensure all 5 quick-release valves are closed on the annex and all Son your OPUS main tent then press the AIR compressor button on the control panel and wait for the annex to inflate.

Once your annex has inflated. you may find that the position of the AIR poles needs adjusting so that the annex is fully tensioned. There are black straps between the floor-ends of the beams on the main tent section, which will help to ensure the optimal placement of the beams. You can then peg the corners and guide ropes or the AIR annex to the ground to secure your position.

ATTACH FRONT DOORS
Using the zippers and velcro provided secure the doors as shown

ATTACH WALL SKIRT
With your OPUS® annex fully inflated, you're ready to assemble the annex, and the first step is to attach the wall skirt;
STEP l · Position the OPUS® wall skirt along the entry side wall of your OPUS® Camper
STEP2 • Attach the skirt with the Velcro strips and zips around the edges.
STEP 3- Peg the skirt to the ground with the five D-rings along the bottom edge

ATTACH OUTER WALLS
Starting from each end, zip the side walls up until the zips meet at the top.

ATTACH INNERS WALLS
Starting from each end, zip the side walls up until the zips meet at the top.

SECURE THE FLOOR
Lay your optional ground sheet and attach this to the main tent using the zippers provided.
Locate the velcro lining the edge of the flooring.
Secure the velcro on the floor to the velcro lining the ends of the annex walls and wall skirt.

Oregon Overlanding: OPUS Camper Adventure Run

OPUS Camper USA 2022-01-29 | We documented as 8 families, 8 OPUS Campers, 27 people, 3 Dogs, and a 5 person film crew spent 4 days exploring the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route #4.

Each group began this adventure in a different state along the west coast… #washington #oregon #california #utah #nevada #arizona - - All taking various routes to meet-up at the IdleWild Campground along Highway 395 north of Burns, Oregon.

While one group left from California making their first stop near McCloud Falls at the Northern tip of the state, another group explored the southeast corner of Oregon on their way to IdleWild Campground where the entire crew would meet.

Prior to this trip, they had only met virtually through the online OPUS Owner's Community.

This is their story… They started at IdleWild CG and traveled through backcountry woods and mountain terrain all the way to Seneca. They climbed the Wolf Mountain Fire Lookout, took on switchbacks and narrow trails, and traveled part of the 750-mile route through the Oregon BackCountry Discovery Route #4. The OBDR can take you all the way to Walla Walla .. and it's about 95% off-road.

Yankee Boy Basin | Colorado | OPUS Adventure Run

Yankee Boy is an alpine basin in Ouray County (southwestern Colorado) that happened to be closed to vehicles at the time, so the group took a slight detour leaving them in a “tight” situation.
