First I'd like to apologize for taking so long with new songs, I've been quite busy with a lot of non-pony stuff this past year, I've done some traveling and had some changes in my personal life, so composing has been pretty down on the priority list most of the time. On top of that, I picked what turned out to be by far the most challenging song yet, and while I had fun creating it, the amount of work I had to put into it was maybe just a tad too much for me, so I'm considering making my next songs a little bit less complex from now on. Speaking of next songs, I already have plans for a Luna themed one so many of you have been asking for, so that should come out relatively soon. After that I hope there will be plenty of Season 4 songs or background music already to choose from. Oh, and i've also become obsessed with the new movie Frozen (It's really no wonder given my Tangled obsession few years back), so I might come up with something inspired by that too, or perhaps how would a musical MLP-Frozen crossover sound, hm?
But back to The Return of Harmony. The song is inspired by multiple pieces of background music from the eponymous episode. Most notably by the final scene and credits theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvfA0SmqJOQ). And the "restoration of the elements" theme (http://youtu.be/H6g15JroPow?t=2m47s). Some bits of the arrangement are also inspired by Howard Shore's phenomenal score for The Lord of the Rings trilogy. It just can't get much more epic than this, folks. Oh and I apologize for such an excessive use of a solo flute, but I just love the sound, so, yeah^^.
And that's it for now, enjoy the rest of the holidays and see you next year!

Hello everypony! Ever since I posted my first composition back in 2012, people have been constantly asking for a song dedicated to the fandom's most beloved princess. After many delays and rewrites, I'm finally happy with it and I'm excited to share it with you all.
While some parts of the song are directly based on Luna's BGM themes from the show (most notably this one: http://youtu.be/qCe4to72tTw?t=58s), a larger part of the song is, as usual, my original composition, where I tried to capture main aspects of Luna's delicate personality - her kindness, grandeur and elegance, but also her struggles with the darkness of Nightmare Moon and her relentless determination to look beyond her past and into a bright future at Celestia's side. I hope you enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed composing it and you can look forward to more from me later this year!
PS: And yes, the title is totally a nod to the magnificent OST of Final Fantasy X :-)

Performed and recorded with Prague Symphony Orchestra.
(okay, not really, but wouldn't that be the coolest thing ever?)
Hello everypony, the new song is here and it's about twenty percent more orchestral than the last one, guaranteed! Maybe even more, come to think about it. I recently upgraded my computer with more memory and as a result was able to completely overhaul my instrument sections (especially the string parts) and I think It's a big step forward.
Anyway, as hinted in the title, this piece is not based on a single song, but It's rather a collection of various themes from the finale episode as a whole. Some are more prominent than others, since not all fit well with the slow tempo I chose for the song. But you should definitely recognize at least three different songs. And of course, I used each of them only as a starting point for melodies of my own, so this time around it's really much more about my personal take on the whole Princess Twilight's coronation thing (which I liked a lot, by the way), rather than sticking to the melodies of the original songs as close as possible.
Well, that's it for now, I hope you like it and see you all in a month or two with another song.

Yep, I'm finally back! First of all, I'd like to apologize, I know that releasing a single song in four months doesn't quite cut it, but I've been extremely busy since my last song back in September and barely managed to keep up with this amazing fandom and compose a few bars of music here and there. Not to mention that this is by far my most complex arrangement yet! Too complex, actually, I've decided that from now on, I'll be composing in 8-bit sounds only. (or maybe not ^^ )
Oh, and about the song itself. As most of you probably recognize, It's inspired by the lovely piece of background music from 2nd season's Family Appreciation Day episode (you can listen to it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu5jqJ5IKNA&hd=1). As usual, I borrowed some key parts and then just let my imagination go. As opposed to my first song, Winter Wrap Up, I've decided to use much more realistic sounding guitars, which may sound a bit clunky at times, but I think it's a step in the right direction.
So, that's it for now, I hope you enjoy it at least as much as I enjoyed making it. And thank you all in advance for feedback of any sort, it's greatly appreciated!

This time around, I tried to stick a bit more to the melody and feel of the original song, except for the intermezzo in the middle of course, which is meant to be some sort of a short Queen Chrysalis/Changelings motif. Anyway, I had a great time composing this piece and I suspect it has a lot to do with the 3/4 waltz signature, which I absolutely love :3
So there you have it, everypony! I will probably compose more pony inspired music in the future, so please stay tuned and enjoy! You can even suggest what piece should I do next! And of course, feedback of any sort is very much appreciated.
Special thanks to: William Anderson for the original score my good friend J.H. for a lot of helpful feedback
Yay! My first creative venture into the world of pony music. Please keep in mind, that I intentionally didn't follow the original song very closely, and tried to incorporate many melodies and ideas of my own.
I very well may create more pony inspired music in the future, so please stay tuned and enjoy!
