As a content creator, I feel so much pressure to keep making content everywhere. And with all of the platforms, podcasting, social media, publishing, it feels like I need to be everywhere. I've needed this break for a while and I hope you can understand. With that said, I will not be publishing content next week. Hopefully by sharing my story and why I needed to take time away (fully off of social media) to recharge and restore, will inspire some of you who may be in a similar situation, to do the same. If you're feeling burnout or burnt out with your work or job, and feel like your work exhaustion is too much, this may be something to consider. We've been through a lot these last 2-3 years and burnout is a real thing that we struggle with. It's important to take care of your needs and remember that everything is going to be okay if you take time away to take time for your own personal health.

It travels through our body, assisting in many bodily functions and passing on messages from the brain, it’s like a neuronal superhighway. But it doesn't stop here: triggering the vagus nerve can ‘wake up’ the Parasympathetic Nervous System which helps us relax and calm down.
That's where @mysensate comes in: Sensate is an infrasound resonance device that works with its companion app to tone the vagus nerve and provide deep relaxation in short 10 to 30-minute sessions. Even though it's just a week, it's been hard for me to actually take the time off. As a content creator, I feel so much pressure to keep making content everywhere. And with all of the platforms, podcasting, social media, publishing, it feels like I need to be everywhere. I've needed this break for a while and I hope you can understand. With that said, I will not be publishing content next week. And when I come back, my goal is to hold myself accountable so I don't get to this kind of place again. And I want you to hold me accountable too. Hopefully by sharing my story and why I need to take time away (fully off of social media) to recharge and restore, will inspire some of you who may be in a similar situation, to do the same. If you're feeling burnout or burnt out with your work or job, and feel like your work exhaustion is too much, this may be something to consider. We've been through a lot these last 2-3 years and burnout is a real thing that we struggle with. I've been thinking a lot lately about my behavior in my relationships, particularly my friendships. I've always been the "responsible" one in my friend group, and much to my detriment. I've been spending time lately to think, why do I try to control my friends or friend group? Why do I engage in controlling behavior? Why am I controlling? As I dig a little deeper into it, I start to see how it is connected to my people pleasing behavior. I am a people pleaser. And it's likely due to underlying issues or fears that I somehow need to manage so I can control my anxiety. What needs to happen is I need to stop being the responsible one, stop people pleasing, so that I'm not engaging in toxic behavior in my relationships or friendships. No one wants a toxic friend group, and no one wants someone controlling them. I'm not perfect, and I, like everyone, else, have room to grow, despite being a therapist. I'd love to hear from you? I've been seeing “Love Bombing” pop up a lot on social media - It’s a great mental health topic and I wanted to dive into it. Love Bombing is a possible characteristic of a narcissist and can happen in narcissistic relationships. It's a manipulation tactic used by some narcissists to overwhelm the victim with love and attention with the goal of later getting them to do what they want. Love bombing can be hard to see or identify, especially at the beginning of an unhealthy relationship, so I'm breaking down the common red flags (things to look out for) in this unhealthy relationship pattern.
