Anna Ellsworth
*possible spoilers ahead* Well, I finally stopped playing Elden Ring long enough to arrange and record this cover of The Final Battle (shoutout to the copious amount of reverb I added to mimic the OST version). I'd wanted to cover something from Elden Ring ever since I first booted it up and heard harp in the title menu; imagine my happy surprise when I got to the end and found out the Elden Beast is a big fan of harp music! Anyway, I hope you enjoy my rendition of the piece and that the flashbacks aren't too bad.

Thank you to everyone who thought this challenge run was a cool thing; I honestly don't know if I would've made it to the end of the game without you. Hopefully, I'll be able to play some other games with harp in the future, but for now, I want to remember what it feels like to hold a regular controller.
But actually, no, this fight's second phase is terrible and I definitely just lucked my way through it. We'll count it anyway.

Pokemon Red was my very first video game ever. Back then, I was an innocent, naive child who didn't believe in things like having a well rounded team (I only caught the coolest looking Pokemon) or defensive moves (if it didn't do damage, my Pokemon was not learning it). I also did this thing where I forced myself to grind for a specific number of levels before I allowed myself to battle anyone in a gym; therefore, I heard this track more times than I could count as I defeated countless Rattatas and Pidgeys, probably destroying the local ecosystem in the process. While it would've been truer to my past if I uploaded a 1 hour version of this piece, for the sake of everyone's sanity, I decided to keep it short and sweet.
Although I'm aware that I shouldn't continue to shoot poison arrows at an enemy after they're already poisoned, at the moment I can only do light attacks i.e. I can only use the first arrow slot. Also...I definitely did not show the correct screen at the end, so for those of you wondering, my bow was at +9 and I believe my talismans were Arrow's Sting, Arrow's Reach, Radagon's Soreseal, and ???. This was from a few weeks ago, so I don't remember the last one, but I think it was Viridian Amber +1.

I totally did not expect to beat Radahn during this run from a couple weeks ago; I'd been trying intermittently throughout the entire stream and this came right before I was about to log off for the night. All things considered, I'd rate this fight 4/10; Torrent really failed me, but at least Leonard was a good boy until the end.

In any case, I'm not sure I agree with the idea that the character creation menu isn't stressful. Trying to make a decent looking person with the DS1 sliders was an incredibly frustrating task and I'm never doing it again. From now on, it's only hideous monstrosities for me!
(feat. an ok character from the GOAT film trilogy...he's not the best but definitely not the worst)
I don't have too much more to say because I never want to talk or think about Rennala ever again, but I think my feelings can be accurately summed up by this quote: youtu.be/pkOxGjeHUWY?t=43

Hi guys, I've gotten so many questions about how I play games (mostly Elden Ring) with the harp, so I thought a comprehensive video about my process would be helpful. Although I've personally only done this with my harp, I think the setup could easily be adapted for most musical instruments; if you have a MIDI-equipped instrument, you can even skip the MiGiC step entirely. I tried to be as in-depth as possible without over explaining, but let me know if I missed anything!

Rl1 Wretch | No upgrades | No sprinting | Harp only (not to be confused with harp bow only)
I have to admit, I used to be one of those people who thought those ancient Greek sailors were really stupid for being lured to danger by a siren song. Like, really? Would that not be suspicious? However, I now realize I have no right to judge them because, while riding through Liurnia, I heard this song and was so mesmerized that I immediately stopped what I was doing to seek its source. Even while being attacked by bats that clearly hated me, I still rode around the area for a couple minutes clinging to hope that I would actually find a friendly maiden with a beautiful voice. But nope, it was just a wrinkly bat lady. Sorry, I mean a "chanting winged dame".
Although the Ornstein and Smough fight was done purely with harp, for the sake of full transparency, I do want it known that previous areas were beaten with a combination of both harp and PS5 controller. If I didn't do that, this video probably wouldn't exist because I would've rage quit somewhere in Blighttown (and if not there, definitely in Sen's Fortress). Also, I want to thank the real MVP, Havel's armor, for basically carrying me through this fight. Honorable mention goes to Smough himself for taking pity on me and refraining from doing his dumb mallet scoop move too many times.
If you want to know more about how I connected my harp to the computer, watch my Dark Souls tutorial video here: youtube.com/watch?v=ssxuY2_2LeM
*UPDATE* I made a more in depth video about the process here: youtube.com/watch?v=Ee-Is3aQq1U
Luckily, I was able to record this take during my first recorded attempt, but before this, I probably had about 7-8 unrecorded practice runs ranging from 10-20 minutes, only two of which I actually completed the tutorial level. As with all FromSoftware games, it was both a fun and frustrating experience, although in this case perhaps a bit more of the latter, so I don't really have any plans to continue playing this particular game this way. I can't help but wonder what it would be like with a more rhythmic game though. Do I hate myself enough to try it with Sekiro...?
Anyway, I hope this was interesting or, at the very least, entertaining to some people. Praise the sun!
