Amiga Bezel Glare - Super realistic effect! amigang 2024-09-28 | Hopefully most of you are aware of the ability to add a bezel and make your emulation appear more like it on an old monitor in the filter options of WinUAE. While experimenting with the filters and bezels in WinUAE, I noticed that some images of monitors and TVs add a bit of glare to the screen, mimicking the classic glass of older displays. This effect makes the visuals feel more authentic.An idea struck me: what if I used a program like OBS to stream the WinUAE display and then overlay a webcam feed, faded into the screen, to create the illusion of the screen reflecting the viewer? (basically just go into video option, colour correction mode, make the image opitic and up the contrast slightly, make it look like your a ghost / reflection in the monitor. Here’s a quick result of my experiment. I also thought about the transparent feature that it offers, and so yes any game that has a solid black background can be made transparent. I think pretty neat. (note the pass though doesn't quite look as good as the video makes it out to be, but it still pretty impressive tech.)

It comes with all the Amiga computers also pre setup and a nice full AmigaOS setup. However this is only for Windows machine, plus its kinda maybe not the easiest way to get games running if you just find one off the internet as it will try it best but you might have to learn a bit of how to setup Amiga emulator. Plus it starts at $9.99 and if you want the extras like the games you need the plus package at $29.99. MegaAGS (Mega Arcade Game Selector) imageSo basically in the Amiga world there has been a number of innovation to make it easier to run the old classic Amiga titles, as many of them where floppy disk based, and floppy disks are slow, annoying to change and can easily be damage, so the first big innovation was WHDLoad, this project goal was to create Slave Files that could make games run within the AmigaOS, be hard drive friendly, they also sometime fixed little issues with games and by pass a lot of the older Copyright protection stuff Amiga games came with. Then came about iGame / Arcade Game Selector programs to make it even easier to navigate and find your games, specially if you have hundreds on your system. So this then lead to a hard drive image of 6.6Gb be created with pretty much every Amiga game you can think of, so once you have this set up in either you real Amiga, FPGA Amiga, or Emulated system you no longer have to worry about setting up different things for different games. Unfortunately due to this pack having a lot of games not legally allowed to be distributed I cant tell you where to find it, but I recommend it as it is another very easy way to run Amiga games. You might need a little bit of knowledge to set the first setting in Amiga emulator but once your done its a great set up.

Amiga Mandala Powering Museum, Music, Games, and more. Vivid Group Videos amigang 2021-01-16 | Did a quick look into Amiga Mandala, investigated who were the people behind it and found one of the people behind the software was Vincent John Vincent, who went on to be one of the founders of Vivid Group (now Gesturetek - http://gesturetek.com ). Out of this discovery I found a number of video and even a ted talk on how he started the company in 1986 to create computer interactivity using only your body, way before Eyetoy and Kinect made this kind of thing main stream. My Old Amiga Animations amigang 2021-01-06 | Kinda of a video i done for myself more than anything, I found some of my old animations I made on my Amiga and PPaint, spent a lot of time in that one program making silly stuff. I think I was most proud of my Under Cover animation, over 700 frames, I even got it in Amiga Format issue 136! Over course most of this animations and graphics where used in the Game Under Cover I also made on Amiga/Backbone, which I currently thinking should I return to and update? Anyway enjoy, but this is more just a personal video for my weird animations to live on Youtube.

AmigaOS in 8K UHD!!? amigang 2020-01-01 | This was a real challenge video idea I had to try and capture 8K video of AmigaOS running in 8K, which it can do, in theory Amiga can do up to 16,384 x 16,38416 but anyway I kinda failed (did get a 2 colour few windows open desktop to open up in 8K but did'nt capture as not much to see really), what this is Amikit running in 4k Captured and upscale to 8k, I really did try and do ture 8K, with fake screen resolution, virtual monitors etc and setup of other AmigaOS systems to try and do it but it just kept failing, it ether crashed, or messed up the graphics of the desktop. Still this is mostly the highest capture of Amiga Desktop ever made, so that something!
