Blackstar HT Stage 100 Mk III 100 watt Tube Amplifier Head
You’d be surprised how many records are coming out of this town with high gain rock tones from Mesa Boogie or Diezel amps. I have always faked those sounds with a cranked Bassman, which is AMAZING, but not the same. I have planned on getting a higher gain 100watter for a long time. It’s a tool I’ve been missing. So I was happy when Blackstar reached out with an opportunity to check out their new 100w head. For me to demo ANY gear, it has to be something that I'm actually going to use in my day job of playing on songs for other people. So here's why I'm going to be taking this amp to sessions here in Nashville. This demo is in 3 parts:
Part 1: Playing through various settings
Part 2: Using it in a song for a stereo double
Part 3: Checking out the direct recording CabRig feature
I love it. It just kills that tight, high wattage, high gain rock thing. I don't have anything else that really does that. The cleans sound great, and the direct CabRig modeling sounds killer. Thanks, Blackstar!
