It's Saturday morning. You wake up without an alarm, the day stretches in front of you. Then you reach for your phone. One quick check. An hour later you're deep in emails.

The weekend has been breached and it isn't even noon. Between 60 and 80% of knowledge workers do some version of this. We call it personal discipline. We dress the breach up as caring about our jobs. It cost generations their lives to win us two days off out of seven, and we hand them back without thinking.
