Now that that's out of the way, IT'S DONE & I'M HAPPY!! I've only been sharing wips in KMB's server, so otherwise I kept this project very quiet.
Like Regandi, Chaka is a deleted TLK2 character. He is, according to that script, the son of Simba and Nala! Omg, why do they have so many kids in this lore...
And yes, I killed off Kopa. I originally wanted him alive but idk, Ig Chaka being the only one to survive fits better. I can't wait for all the little kids to completely skip the description and try coping in the comments 💀
Btw the ONLY reason Chaka is still alive is because he's depicted as an adult in his concept art ;-; that shit SAVED his ass. But I'm glad he is still alive because of the way my headcanon AU is progressing. He's gonna be relevant in another AU or two, that's for sure.

Scar wants Nala to be his mate and has a cub - Chaka - with her against her will. Some weeks after he was born, Nala finds Simba, who defeats Scar and becomes king. He and Nala soon have a son: Kopa. Nala always attempts to talk to Chaka, but Zira will not let that happen, since she is resentful that Nala killed "the love of her life" (Scar) and "abandoned" Chaka.
While at a pond, Chaka notices Scar's reflection in the water and immediately goes to find Zira. Once she's there with him at the pond, Scar orders Zira to steal Kovu away from a distant (Regandi's) kingdom and kill the current royal family, which she is willing to do. Chaka is tasked with luring his half brother away from pride rock once Zira returns with Kovu (and Vitani).
A few hours later, Simba notices that Kopa, Nuka, Chaka, and Zira have vanished and orders a search party. Sarabi and Sarafina find them first and rush to the princes' defenses, but they are both killed by Zira and Nuka. Kopa is also murdered. In the frenzy, nobody noticed that Chaka, panicked, had fallen into the gorge.
Simba and Zira fight, resulting in her and Nuka's exile. They are accompanied by other Scar supporters. Chaka wakes up from his unconsciousness a day after and flees.
