In North America today we are celebrating the 4th of July. So I found it appropriate to show you how to create the American Flag pattern! There are different ways to solve this but Ill have the algorithms I use in the description!

Algorithms for the American Flag:
Get a solved 3x3 cube and with the Red side in Front and White on top... R, L, D, B, D, B
To undo the American Flag on the 3x3 and resolve the cube, find the Red L and have it face you then do the same move just backwards this time... B, D, B, D, L, R
Algorithms for the American Flag:
With a solve 5x5 Rubiks Cube, make sure you start off with the Red facing you/Blue on top and Yellow on the right... (Facing Red) u, d, T3D, (Now facing White) Rr, (Go up to the Blue side) T3D
To undo the American Flag on the 5x5 and resolve the cube... (Red facing you) T3D, (Facing Blue now but flip to the White side) Rr, d, U
