For Father's Day we offer you our tried and tested recipe for Zeppole di San Giuseppe, prepared with custard and baked or fried. Although baking is preferred by many, we also invite you to try fried zeppole. By following our recipe and the correct cooking temperature, the zeppole will not become impregnated with oil and will be even tastier than those made in the oven. 🧁INGREDIENTS
Custard Cream
6 egg yolks (120 gr)
1 cup (250 gr) of caster sugar
2 oz (60 gr) of cornstarch
2 cups (500 ml) of fresh milk
1/2 vanilla bean
The dough for Zeppole:
4,5 oz (125 gr) of butter
1/4 cup (60 ml) of water
1/4 cup (60 ml) of fresh milk
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 cup (130 gr) of flour 00
4 eggs (220 gr)
