In my experience, tubeless has been worth it. Tubeless lets me run a lower tire pressure without worrying about pinch flats, and it plugs punctures before they become a problem.
Resetting tubeless twice a year is a bit of a pain, but I think it’s worth fewer stops on the side of the road during an adventure. That being said, although I’m tubeless now, I happily rode tubes for years, and firmly believe it’s about having the adventure, not which gear you choose.
My big thing with tubeless is the importance of learning how to fix it yourself. As with fixing a regular flat, if you don’t know what’s going on in there, it’s going to be super stressful when something goes wrong. Knowledge is power babyyyyy 😆
