Damnation level gameplay using the Cadia Mk 4 Assault Chainsword and Spearhead Mk IIb Bolt Gun.
Following my recent video trying the Eviscerator, I thought I'd see how its younger sibling, the Cadia Mk 4 Assault Chainsword holds up using the Preacher. I still need to try out feedback following the video on the Eviscerator. I'll see if I can tackle that in the coming weeks.
The Assault Chainsword I used has pretty much identical Blessings to my Eviscerator. On first impressions I had a much better time using it, its damage isn't very far off but it attacks much faster and is much more mobile to use. Winding up heavy attacks is obviously noticeably less cumbersome as well meaning I felt overwhelmed in hoard scenarios much less often & felt more useful in general.
Due to the mobility, the special attack felt more useful as well. I tried to use it as much as possible to try and bring out its flaws during the gameplay. But I was surprised to see that it worked fairly well.
Having played with this weapon without trying the Eviscerator following feedback, the difference is night & day. As it stands, I would choose the standard Chainsword every time.
I still think it needs minor base damage buffs to truly feel like a good weapon. But for now, its a tier above its older sibling in my opinion.
