After a tougher 2025 for tourism (fewer international visitors than expected), early 2026 feels noticeably quieter on the ground. Streets that used to be packed are way more chill, spots feel "dead" compared to peak times, and I've noticed a shift in locals' moods some relief from over tourism fatigue, mixed with worry about the economy.
