First and foremost, happy Valentine's Day to everyone. This edit's been finished and queued for a little over a week, but I figured its subject matter was appropriate for today, so I held off on uploading it until now.

This song here is a Japan-exclusive demo from The Depreciation Guild's album, "Spirit Youth," which is one of the defining shoegaze albums to me. They're no longer a band, but their music is still out there waiting to be discovered by willing ears. While the singer, Kurt Feldman, may look back on this project with contempt and wince at what he may perceive to be inferior music, I find it to be some of the most heart-felt music I've ever heard; songs like Invisible Love, Blue Lily and White Moth are pure love. I enjoy Ice Choir all the same, but there's a special place for TDG and I sincerely wish they'd come back.

That said, when I first heard this song, I had imagery of forlorn and bittersweet scenes, sad goodbyes, cherished memories, etc. I'm not adept at wax-poetifying a song into words, it's much easier for me to converge appropriate visuals I feel, so I figured one of my favorite movies would be the perfect fit. As for this edit, I experimented with off-timing cuts, focusing mainly on immersion. Compared to my other edits where I try to match every scene to the music, it's more subdued and I didn't want it to feel like a music video. That said, I did focus a lot on condensing the story and the timing of the cuts, down to the frame, hopefully the pacing is representative of that.

In summation, I want to thank you all for following and watching; in this age of zero scarcity art, it's pleasant to have an audience to share things with. Hope no one's
experiencing blues related to this pseudo-holiday, enjoy your own company!
