Saturday, February 21, 2026 — Convened by the Pan African Unity Dialogue (PAUD) of the Institute of the Black World 21st Century (IBW, IBW21), this timely virtual forum examines the international crisis in Cuba and its broader implications for sovereignty, self-determination, and global solidarity.
Placing Cuba in historical context within the global struggle for freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination across the U.S. and the Global African World, this educational forum explores Cuba’s historic and contemporary role in movements for liberation and justice.
Presented as part of the Annual Malcolm X Commemorative Session of PAUD, the forum provides historical grounding and contemporary analysis on Cuba’s significance in global struggles for freedom — while examining pathways for principled solidarity in the United States and throughout the Global African World.
