Our Jayco 145RB has two manual vent covers. Neither have fans. We were looking for something to help cool the trailer when we are boondocking and don't have shore power for the AC. It would also be nice to help remove the steam/fumes when we are cooking on the gas range.
The Vortex II fan was appealing since it didn't require getting on the roof and removing the old fan vents like you have to do for the Fantastic fans. The unit was fairly inexpensive and took about an hour to install. The biggest issue was that our trailer was not wired for electric vent fans. We had to steal power from one of the light circuits. We are very happy with the results!
