This is the second video in a series of videos I am doing in 2020 called Inspired by. Each month I pick a content creator and create a project inspired by a project they have shared on YouTube and their channel itself. For my February post I was inspired by Christy from Christy Gets Crafty. She is an amazing paper crafter who has been on YouTube for about a decade if not longer. I was inspired by a very old video Christy did in her Valentine's series from 2016. She used Whale You Be Mine a small set from Lawn Fawn to create an adorable Valentine's themed card. You can find the video here: youtube.com/watch?v=4dzzBxlnu1c
Christy is very vocal about donating cards to charities and is really easy to listen to and shares her love of mixing patterned paper. She talks a lot about contrast in her coloring and I know that over the years I have learned many things from her. She is an excellent teacher. Confused about why I named it all Delaney Jane Cards if my name is Renee’? This entire thing, shop, YouTube channel, blog, etc, it is all named after our angel daughter who passed away in 2013. I made her some promises when she passed away. I would spread joy, I would make her proud and I would speak her name daily. This is one way we choose to honor her memory, and help me keep my promises.
