National Cash Register Corp AT&T - Sign Unveiling/Yesterday and Today - April 19, 1994 PART 2 VH Srip 2021-08-17 | This is the second much more interesting part of the strange tape found in rural Texas. After sitting through part 1, 20 minutes of boring speeches in parking lot followed by a lackluster unveiling of a corporate sign, and cheers from doomed employees, we are treated to this some what more interesting history of National Cash Register Corp. Lots of old timey footage and vintage computer goodness in this video. It seems that they were trying to frame the corporate take over by AT&T was just a name change and not the end of a company with a long storied history. Don't be fooled by the guy at the end, this was an Epitaph for NCR.
National Cash Register Corp AT&T - Sign Unveiling/Yesterday and Today - April 19, 1994 PART 1 VH Srip 2021-08-17 | This tape was found in a thrift store in rural Texas. Labeled "Sign Unveiling / Yesterday and Today" it's the record of a day, April 19, 1994, in Dayton Ohio when the National Cash Register Corp (NCR) formally changed their name and sign to AT&T Global Information Solutions, and made all their employees stand outside in the hot sun listening to really boring speeches, while they pretend that this was somehow historic and meaningful (the production of this tape is part of the ruse) A little googling revealed why no one seems really excited, AT&T had recently acquired NCR and was running it into the ground. Everyone seen here most likely lost their jobs shortly after this, and the building is now part of the University of Dayton. The tower seen prominently is the Deeds Carillon, in Carillon Historic Park. Speeches were followed by a much more interesting video about the history of National Cash Register, the previously mentioned "Yesterday and Today" which I also uploaded.

Peter Galore in Love and War VH Srip 2020-06-21 | Found this tape at an estate sale, and was immediately baffled, luckily there was a letter inside that cleared up most of the mystery. I've included a link to the letter below. Ostensibly, this was a film shot on 8mm in the Fall of 1967 by American Air Force pilots, the 493rd Fighter Squadron, stationed in England at RAF Lakenheath, and played at a party they had. Following the film is about 30 minutes of bombing runs from Vietnam. Also, the writer of the letter, Gene Hopp presumably, made a note of mentioning the tape is not full and he had not removed the copy protection tab, so more could be recorded.
