I made an app that turns a 3D rim model into a working BeamNG wheel mod. You drop your model in, go through six steps, and the wheel shows up in your game with real tires that fit.
What it does:
- Takes OBJ, STL, glTF, GLB, FBX and DAE files
- Fits your rim to a real BeamNG wheel size, so stock tires bolt right on
- Front and rear parts are made for you, with the right lug count
- Paint your wheel inside the app if you want, or use your own textures
- Wheel finishes: make color versions of one wheel, like black, bronze and red, and swap between them in the parts menu in game
- Wheel packs: put all your wheels into one single mod
- Installs the mod straight into your game with one click
Nothing to install. Download the zip, unzip it, and run the exe. Windows will show a warning the first time because the app is not signed. Click More info, then Run anyway.
How to add a wheel:
1. Run the app and drop your rim model onto the first screen.
2. Size: pick the wheel size, like 17x8, and the lug count. The app scales your rim to match a real BeamNG wheel of that size.
3. Orient: make sure the wheel points the right way, with the face of the rim toward you. Use the flip and rotate buttons if it looks wrong, then run the spin test to check it.
4. Finish: pick a look for each part of the wheel. There are presets like chrome, gloss black and bronze, or set your own color and shine. If you want more colors of the same wheel, add them here under wheel finishes.
5. Name: type a name for your wheel and your author name.
6. Install: click install to put it straight into your game, or save it as a zip and drop it into your mods folder.
7. In BeamNG, spawn a car, open the Parts menu, go to Wheels and search for your wheel name. Pick it for front and rear. Stock tires in that size fit on their own.
8. If you made more than one finish, the Wheel Finish slot shows up under the wheel in the parts menu. Pick the color you want there.
