Day 14
I found a new set of mail as I explored the Ice Palace. It's served me well so far. The armor is very helpful.
It took some time, but I eventually found the giant ice monster lurking beneath the palace. It looked like a cloud with one eye. The fire rod really did a number on it, but what helped the most was the magic that came from the Pendant of Power. I tapped into it when I had been cornered by a wall of ice and it immediately set off a massive explosion.
With the monster destroyed, I was able to save Michelle. She told me about the Hylia people and how they and the Seven Sages had mysterious powers. The maidens can't control such powerful magic anymore, but they will be able to unite what power they have to help me face Ganon.
My next destination was in the swamp to the southwest of the Dark World. I couldn't find the Misery Mire anywhere, but then I noticed a small symbol on the ground. It almost looked like a bolt of lightning. Somehow it resonated with the Pendant of Wisdom. I tapped into its magic and lightning sprang from the pendant. It struck the bog in front of me. A structure rose out of the muck. The Misery Mire.
