We try and go on with our day to day and sometimes were distracted enough to get through it but sometimes it consumes us and its all we can think about. Its okay to get down and have bad days, its okay to ignore everything and just sit in misery because sometimes being strong is too much and we deserve to have a moment of weakness and having those moments is what makes you stronger than ever. I wanted to make this film on 16mm to give it a feeling of realness and rawness. I wanted it to feel cold and warm by mixing the two you get a sense of how sometimes its all good but its not okay.I wanted to make something that would possibly resonate with anyone who might be feeling lost on the road to recovery or trying to find themselves again wether its a break up, losing a friendship, or even a loss of life. I never cared or was embarrassed about getting older because where I'm from I seen so many people not even make it to their 18th birthday. I am grateful and blessed to see another year. unfortunately this year, like last year I spent trying to fight not feeling good what so ever. I was sick and struggling but at least I was able to see my birthday and that in its self is something to be happy about.
