Travis McHenryThis is a walkthrough of The Hieronymus Bosch Tarot by the deck's creator, Travis McHenry.
The Hieronymus Bosch Tarot is a breathtaking 78-card Tarot deck that utilizes artwork from 15th Century Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch's actual paintings. In this video, the creator explains the unique eight suits of the Minor Arcana, and shows many of the cards from each of the suits.
The 22 cards of the Major Arcana share much in common with the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith deck, and the meanings behind the cards maintain their core meaning, even when the images or names of the cards have been changed.
Hieronymus Bosch lived and worked during the same period as the first Tarot decks began to flourish throughout Europe and consequently, many of his paintings share similar imagery with early French and Italian Tarot cards.

This ritual utilized the Echols Sigil Oracle to accomplish the task. Available exclusively on Kickstarter through the month of July!
kickstarter.com/projects/travismchenry/the-echols-sigil-oracle-deckHow Damien Echols Influenced MeTravis McHenry2024-07-13 | Two years ago, I was not in a good state of mind. Meeting Damien and his wife Lorri inspired me to make some major life changes and incorporate Rosicrucian sigils into my magical practice. Now we've partnered together to make a deck of ritual/oracle cards the whole world can enjoy. The Echols Sigil Oracle, currently available for pre-order on Kickstarter.
In the early 1800s, this card was described as bearing the legend "anno ab vrbe codita mlxx" upon its shield; however, no such text is actually present on the card as we know it today.
To see where the paint has fallen off, we need to refer to a black and white copy made of the deck in 1907 and deposited at the British Museum. The text is still very evident and easily readable on the copy.
By overlaying the black and white version with the color version and slowly adjusting the opacity, we can clearly see where the text IS still present on the card, but is nearly impossible to make out because it is incorporated into the shield's coloring.
My research into the Sola Busca Tarot has revealed some surprising secrets that will be revealed in my upcoming book "An Occult Guide to the Tarot" from Rockpool Publishing / Simon & Schuster in October 2025.

This means the cards will now feature hot foil inlay. The sigils will be metallic red and the runic Theban text surrounding it will be silver foil. This process also gives a slight embossing effect to the cards, which further enhances their sensory appeal.

The deck is especially good for reading about love and relationships.

"Ritual of the 144" is just a temporary title. I don't know what to call this ritual...
This video shows about 1/3rd of the total ritual. There was much more time spent in prayer and meditation between the various invocations. Also, the "freestyle" portion of the ritual was not filmed at all.
To smoothly accomplish the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram, I recorded myself reading it from Damien Echols' "High Magick," then played it back during the actual ritual. This method worked REALLY well and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

This deck is based on the 1911 Tarot de la Reyne, an obscure 120-card Tarot printed in France. The new version has been scaled down to 58 cards consisting of a Major and Minor Arcana. Each card is linked to a specific prophecy of Nostradamus, the 16th Century French seer whose predictions still continue to captivate and mystify the world.Twice Told Tarot Pitch VideoTravis McHenry2022-10-06 | Pitch video for the Twice Told Tarot. The spread used here represents the "life cycle" of a decan star over the course of a year: * It is born (heliacal rise) 80 days *It culminates (rises to its highest point) 120 days *It disappears into the Duat (dips below the horizon) 70 days *It is rebon (rises again)
Sirius (the goddess Sopdet) has the life cycle closest to this idea, while all the other decans are similar, but her cycle most closely mirrors the 365 day solar year. Sirius is also the brightest star in the night sky, which made her especially important to the ancient Egyptians.

This set of Canopic jars is over 100 years old and comes from an alabaster factory in Luxor. They also have an alabaster box, which is extremely rare, but still authentic to the period.
Canopic jars were part of the mummification and burial process of mummies in ancient Egypt. Each jar held one of the deceased's internal organs.

It is an authentic Egyptian oracle utilizing astrology as it was originally practiced in 2400 BC with all Greek, Persian, and Hebrew influences stripped away.
The foundation of this deck is the astrology practiced by the ancient “star priests” of Asyut for divination and evocation of the 36 unwavering stars known as Decans (spsw.w in hieroglyphics).
To create this astonishing deck, author and occultist Travis McHenry explored the tombs and temples of Egypt, searching for the origin behind the decans of the Zodiac. He ended up uncovering the source of modern astrology, Hermetic magic, and the true meaning behind Crowley’s mysterious statement: “All men and women are stars.”

It's the fifth largest city in the European Union.
It first came to prominence in 1459 when Vlad the Impaler hired Saxon builders to construction fortifications around the city in preparation for war with the Ottoman Empire. Over two-hundred years would pass before it became the capital city of Wallachia, and later of Romania.
One one of Vlad the Impaler's construction projects remains in the city today: Curtea Veche, the Old Princely Court located in Old Town Bucharest, was built as a secondary residence by Vlad. However, the structure standing there today is the result of significant renovations and alterations from successive rulers of Wallachia.
Outside of Carol Park, there is a scale replica of Vlad's mountain fortress of Poenari Castle. The building is currently being used as an office for the military police, however, it can be seen from the street. It's only open to the public one day a year.In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 7/9Travis McHenry2020-03-11 | Dealu Monastery is located on a hill just outside Targoviste. Thanks in part to its close proximity to the former princely palace of Wallachia, the monastery has served as the final resting place of several of the country's voivodes.
Perhaps the most famous prince buried on the grounds in Vlad Dracul, the father of Vlad the Impaler. In an attempt to find his lost grave, I visited the monastery and pulled up the carpet to examine the burial vaults of the princely necropolis.
With the help of a Slavic languages profession from Germany, I was able to translate the inscriptions on the tombstones and determine that Vlad Dracul was not actually buried inside the chapel. His grave is unmarked and its exact location is unknown, and it will probably never be found unless the entire monastery torn down stone by stone and excavated a mile around. In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 6/9Travis McHenry2020-03-10 | Târgoviște was the capital of Wallachia during the time of Vlad the Impaler's rule. He was responsible for expanding and fortifying the princely palace and also built the city's most imposing feature: Chindia Tower.
From the top of the tower, Vlad could guard against potential invasions from either the Ottoman Empire or Transylvania. He could also observe executions occuring in the courtyard below. It is said he had empty stakes on permanent display in the palace courtyard to inspire fear and loyalty among his followers.
Today, Târgoviște Palace is in ruins, but some elements of the complex are still well preserved: such as the basement and Chindia Tower. There is also an Orthodox church on the palace grounds that is in good condition and is currently being restored to its former glory. In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 5/9Travis McHenry2020-03-10 | Bran Castle is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Romania, and one of the best preserved castles in the entire country. In the 1970s, the Romanian government declared Bran Castle to be "The Real Castle Dracula" in an effort to boost tourism.
However, the castle was most probably never visited by Vlad Dracula. In his lifetime, the castle was very different, and the structure there today has been modified, renovated, and changed significantly by previous owners throughout the years.
Despite this, Bran Castle is still worth the visit, if only to admire the architecture, the vintage furniture, and pick up a few Dracula souvenirs from the dozens of gift shops surrounding the town.In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 4/9Travis McHenry2020-03-09 | Tâmpa Hill, on the south side of the city of Brasov, was the location of one of Vlad Dracula's most brutal atrocities.
On this hill, just outside the city walls of Brasov, Vlad defeated Dan III, a pretender to the throne of Wallachia. Vlad's revenge against Dan was intended to strike fear in the hearts of anyone who might dare to rise up against his rule in the future.
First, Vlad burned Dan's church to the ground. Then, he had all of his followers impaled on the hillside, just outside the Weaver's Tower (which is still standing today). While the rebels were being impaled, Dan III was forced to dig his own grave while a priest dressed in funeral garb recited a Mass for the Dead.
Today, Tâmpa Hill is a public recreation area with lots of hiking trails and no reminders of its brutal past. There's a restaurant at the top of the hill and a tram can take you to the top, or you can enjoy one of the many casual trails that meander throughout the heavily wooded location. In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 3/9Travis McHenry2020-03-09 | Visitors to Poenari Castle, often called "The Real Castle Dracula," can expect to be immersed in the history of a location built to withstand the rigors of medieval warfare.
You may also end up coming fact to face with a European brown bear, as I did while attempting to scale the trail leading up the side of the mountain. There's a wonderful restaurant / hotel located at the base of the mountain, and I highly recommend staying the night there. If you can get a room facing the castle, you'll be able to see it from your window.
During my stay, I could actually see the castle from my bed!In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula - Episode 2/9Travis McHenry2020-03-07 | In this episode, Travis visits the medieval walled city of Sighișoara, Romania. The Vlad Dracul House is the location where Vlad the Impaler was born in 1428.
As a child, he used to watch prisoners being taken from the city jail at the Clock Tower to the Jeweler's Tower at the opposite end of town to be executed. Was this morbid fascination with executions and justice what turned Vlad into a cold-blooded killer later in life?
You'll also journey into the only crypt in Transylvania, visit a medieval cathedral, and discover Sighișoara's beautifully preserved buildings and cemeteries. Come enjoy the feeling you're stuck inside the Castlevania video game as we travel... In the Footsteps of Vlad Dracula.Ritual of the Seventh GateTravis McHenry2020-03-04 | The Ritual of the Seventh Gate allows a conjurer to summon a demon, in this case, it is a ritual to summon Lucifuge Rofocale, the Prime Minister of Hell.
This specific form of the ritual utilizes the cards of the Demon-Possessed Tarot, but any image of the demon's sigil may be used if you don't have access to the deck. The 72 Goetic demons respond best to this ritual, and I strongly caution against using this ritual to summon anything besides Infernal Spirits.
The elements of the ritual space include: Five candles arranged in a semi-circle, with a red candle in the center and elevated slightly higher than the others (for this ritual, it was placed on a flat piece of K2 jasper). Two incense holders with any kind of incense (this time it was Egyptian musk). An offering bowl and an offering.
Additionally, the conjurer may wear any talismans of protection they desire. In this case, a ring with the Secret Seal of Solomon was worn.
This ritual may be done using the Occult Tarot, which has all the sigils of the Goetic Demons and the Grand Princes of Hell and is somewhat easier to acquire than the original Demon-Possessed Tarot.

The tomb of Vlad Dracula is generally recognized as being in the floor of the monastery's sanctuary, but several other locations around Romania have decided to claim their tombs hold the real burial place of the infamous ruler.

This video shows the Grimoire of Dark Souls (black cover) and the Angenomicon (red cover).
This video demonstrates different techniques for reading with the Oracle of Heaven and Hell. The oracle is a unique deck that features both the angels of the Kabbalah and the demons of the Goetia on 72 cards. It is the follow-up deck to the Demon-Possessed Tarot and the Angel-Evoking Tarot, two of the highest funded decks in Kickstarter history.
The Oracle of Heaven and Hell is intended to be used as a tool for self-improvement. The demons on the cards help the reader look inward for strength and find areas of improvement. The angels on the cards provide guidance and future goals that the reader can focus upon.
The two spreads outlined in this video are the Circles of Hell, which utilizes the demon side of the cards, and replicates the levels of Hell as found in Dante's Inferno. The other spread is the Stairway to Heaven, which uses the angel side of the card and creates an uplifting path to enlightenment.Angel-Evoking MagicTravis McHenry2019-02-26 | This lecture on Angel-Evoking Magic was given at the 2019 Conscious Life Expo in Los Angeles.
The 72 Angels of the Kabbalah (also known as the 72 Angels of the Shem HaMephorash) can be summoned or called upon by utilizing their summoning sigils and an invocation. The sigils must be drawn according to the Kabbalistic art, and the Conjurer should have a specific intention in mind when conducting the summoning ritual. The Demon-Possessed TarotTravis McHenry2018-10-27 | An instructional video showing how to do a reading with the Demon-Possessed Tarot, a new 78 card Tarot deck featuring the 72 demons of the Ars Goetia and 6 grand princes of Hell.

In this tutorial, the deck's creator shows how to do a reading using Lucifuge Rofocale to obtain wealth while the demon Balam gives a side reading showing what the future will hold.
The Demon-Possessed Tarot became the 12th highest funded deck on Kickstarter after its 30-day funding period and is the first Tarot to accurately portray the demons of the Ars Goetia in a full 78 card format.Chubby Baby TrailerTravis McHenry2014-11-26 | "He's just a kid. Right?"

This short skit is a shot for shot remake of an even shorter skit filmed in 1994 when I was auditioning for a role with a Canadian production company. In that version, Travis McHenry played the vampire hunter, and Jean Morin played Count Dracula. It was quite terrible, but yielded some very funny moments.
"In the days of my forefathers, there were no such follies as that!" -Dracula
This film is loosely based on "Dracula," the 1897 Gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker which was famous for introducing the character of the vampire Count Dracula. The novel tells the story of Dracula's attempt to relocate from Transylvania to England, and the battle between Dracula and a small group of men and women led by Professor Abraham Van Helsing.
The novel touches on themes such as the role of women in Victorian culture, sexual conventions, immigration, colonialism, and post-colonialism. None of these themes are explored in The Horror of Castle Dracula. Although Stoker did not invent the vampire, he defined its modern form, and the novel has spawned numerous theatrical, film and television interpretations, and the producer thanks him greatly for his contribution to the horror genre! The Man Who Fell From EarthTravis McHenry2012-02-21 | Here's a sample trailer showcasing some of the test footage I shot in the desert over the weekend.Planetoid PromoTravis McHenry2012-02-02 | In the near future, a lone astronaut crash-lands on a mysterious planetoid capable of supporting life. Until the age of space travel, objects in the asteroid belt were merely pinpricks of light in even the largest telescopes and their shapes and terrain remained a mystery. The best modern ground-based telescopes and the Earth-orbiting Hubble Space Telescope can resolve a small amount of detail on the surfaces of the largest asteroids, but even these mostly remain little more than fuzzy blobs. Limited information about the shapes and compositions of asteroids can be inferred from their light curves (their variation in brightness as they rotate) and their spectral properties, and asteroid sizes can be estimated by timing the lengths of star occulations (when an asteroid passes directly in front of a star).
The first dedicated asteroid probe was NEAR Shoemaker, which photographed 253 Mathilde in 1997, before entering into orbit around 433 Eros, finally landing on its surface in 2001. Other asteroids briefly visited by spacecraft en route to other destinations include 9969 Braille (by Deep Space 1 in 1999), and 5535 Annefrank (by Stardust in 2002).
In September 2005, the Japanese Hayabusa probe started studying 25143 Itokawa in detail and was plagued with difficulties, but returned samples of its surface to earth on June 13, 2010. The European Rosetta probe (launched in 2004) flew by 2867 Šteins in 2008 and 21 Lutetia, the second-largest asteroid visited to date, in 2010.
In September 2007, NASA launched the Dawn Mission, which started orbiting the protoplanet 4 Vesta in July 2011, and is to orbit 1 Ceres in 2015. 4 Vesta is the largest asteroid visited to date.
In May 2011, NASA announced the OSIRIS-REx sample return mission to asteroid 1999 RQ36, and is expected to launch in 2016.Czech Me OutTravis McHenry2011-12-08 | A police officer in the Czech Republic is out to avenge the death of his brother, Bobby at the hands of a psychotic American criminal hiding in Europe. All of the footage in the video was either filmed by our production crew or acquired from legitimate historical sources. None of the footage in this video was reused from other films.
My interpretation of the lyrics and the meaning of the song came directly from interviews with Jim Morrison, in particular a quote from John Densmore's autobiography: "At one point Jim said to me during the recording session, and he was tearful, and he shouted in the studio, 'Does anybody understand me?' And I said yes, I do, and right then and there we got into a long discussion and Jim just kept saying over and over kill the father, fuck the mother, and essentially boils down to this, kill all those things in yourself which are instilled in you and are not of yourself, they are alien concepts which are not yours, they must die. Fuck the mother is very basic, and it means get back to essence, what is reality, what is, fuck the mother is very basically mother, mother-birth, real, you can touch it, it's nature, it can't lie to you. So what Jim says at the end of the Oedipus section, which is essentially the same thing that the classic says, kill the alien concepts, get back reality, the end of alien concepts, the beginning of personal concepts."The Intrapersonal ComputerTravis McHenry2011-01-12 | A computer singing "Daisy Bell" as first recorded by an IBM 704 computer in 1961.
When Harry Dacre, an English composer, first came to the United States, he brought with him a bicycle, for which he was charged a customs fee. His friend joked: 'It's lucky you didn't bring a bicycle built for two, otherwise you'd have to pay double duty.' Dacre was so inspired by the phrase 'bicycle built for two' that he decided to incorporate it into a song. That song, Daisy Bell, first became successful in a London music hall, in a performance by Katie Lawrence. Tony Pastor was the first one to sing it in the United States.
However, probably the most famous appearance of the song was in the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey the evil intelligent HAL 9000 computer during its deactivation loses its mind and degenerates to singing "Daisy". Which was done as an obvious homage to the real-life programming of an IBM 7094 to sing the song.Annie - Anything But YouTravis McHenry2010-12-30 | Clip of Anything But You from the Academy for Children's Theatre performance of Annie at the Madrid Theater in August 2010 featuring Makenna Marks as Annie and Travis McHenry as Daddy Warbucks.

Richard III is a history play by William Shakespeare written in 1591. It depicts the Machiavellian rise to power and subsequently short reign of Richard III, formerly the Duke of Gloucester. The play is grouped with the histories in the First Folio and is most often classified as such. However, in the quarto edition, it is termed a tragedy, despite the fact that it lacks certain requisite elements of a true tragic story. Richard is clearly the villain of the story, therefore, he cannot also be the "tragic hero." When compared with Othello, for example, Iago is clearly the villain, and Othello is the tragic hero. Use Oedipus Rex (another role I have played) as the template for a perfect tragedy: The hero does everything he feels is right, yet still suffers horribly in the end.Psychotic TessalationsTravis McHenry2010-06-23 | Bizarre M.C. Escher concept project. Featuring David Lynchian inspired cinematography.
M. C. Escher, was a Dutch graphic artist. He is known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints. These feature impossible constructions, explorations of infinity, architecture, and tessellations, just as have been carefully constructed in this film project.
His most famous works were probably Drawing Hands and the staircase sketch, Relativity. The influence of both works are painfully apparent in this film.Golden Lion Tamarin EatingTravis McHenry2009-12-01 | A Golden Lion Tamarin enjoys a pina colada flavored popsicle at the Santa Ana Zoo. Yes, I fed him, but they have pina coladas in Brazil, so he's used to it.
The golden lion tamarin gets its name from its fiery orange or red pelage and the extra long hairs that form along its cheek, throat and ears, giving it a distinctive mane. Its face is dark and hairless. It is believed that the hair color of the tamarin is due to exposure to sunlight or the carotenoids in its diet.
Native to the Atlantic coastal forests of Brazil, the golden lion tamarin is an endangered species with an estimated wild population of "more than 1,000 individuals" and a captive population maintained at approximately 490 individuals.
Tamarins emit "whine" and "peep" calls for alarm and affiliations respectively. "Clucks" are made during foraging trips or during aggressive encounters, whether mobbing conspecifics or predators. "Trills" are used to communicate over long distances to give away an individaul's position. "Rasps" or "screeches" are made during play. Tamarins also use chemical to communicate by making scent marks throughout their territories. Reproductive males and females do most of the scent marking and their non-reproductive counterparts rarely do so. Dominant males use scent marking to signify their social status and this behavior may suppress the reproductive abilities of the other males.
