Also, this song was originally supposed to NOT have a big rock ending, I edited the audio at the end to emulate what that would've sounded like
This was probably recorded as a test for capturing what would be the FMVs on the PS2/Wii versions of the game, the vocal highway disappearing was a developer using a debug keyboard cheat to hide the HUD
no, i don't have the build
no, i don't have the unfinished cover
no, i don't know when this was recorded

shortname and id are the same as final
this game hates my pants
my leather pants
hi raven :D
- autoplay is enabled because inputs barely work (it is being worked on, however), autoplay in this game only hits the last note and switches when it feels like it
- fmvs do not play, i modded the game to skip it so it doesnt shit itself trying
- sound banks dont work, only moggs play
- runs in 60fps when logFilter="*:Critical" in config.toml
- there are obvious graphical issues, this is due to missing shaders(?)

rb4 xbone strat, pc
results screen says 8th place but it's actually 6th
proof - drive.google.com/file/d/1fHWzNXxHkyRXLbiu7IJjm7zPY7hxUcWC
i played this on a VCR model xbox one with a Rock Band 4 strat, this video is pretty much entirely unedited, just to share the full experience and pain that is fortnite on the worst xbox model. i suffered, so you suffer with me. there are chapters if you wanna skip the boring bits lawl. Durango Festival.
*my thoughts (there's a lot):*
*instrument support, or lack thereof:*
i'm incredibly disappointed, we got instrument support but not support for instruments. my main hope for this was that i'd be more accessible than rb4 but it's BARELY more accessible. if you have a pc and a ps5 you're pretty much SOL and have to buy two of an already expensive controller. sanjay's the goat btw, they're cooking some stuff up rn
*menu and ui complaints:*
navigating the menus with a guitar controller sucks, and at 6:05 i found out the hard way that you have to open the game and navigate the menus using a standard controller then SWITCH to a guitar controller. what part of that makes sense? i'm already using a guitar controller. additionally, the riffmaster doesn't have palm activation, so of course that means when you hit select on an rb4 guitar it brings up the "exit to backstage" menu and breaks your combo! fun! i'm sure you can remap but i cant be bothered
*engine stuff:*
apparently if you fret and strum at the same time it causes a miss? idk i read that somewhere and at 22:10 that seems to be the case. other than that this engine feels fine
*conclusion:*
overall, i'd say this isn't really worth your time. fortnite festival is cool and all, it got my friends in to Rock Band, but maan it's just not my thing. and i didn't even talk about how this game suffers from "modern-game-itis" and how it opens a whole ass online room and requires you to wait in a multiplayer queue for a singleplayer rhythm game
*just go play rb3dx*

*timeline of events:*

This build is based on prototype Kinect hardware, so it's unplayable with a retail Kinect. It is also a debug build, but as of right now we don't know how to access any of its debugging features on Xenia due to not being able to pass through a USB keyboard, we can on hardware though. Some executable mods also had to be done in order to run this build on Xenia.
Main differences in this build:
- All Kinect preview windows are extremely glitchy
- Rating text scrolls the opposite direction from the final game
- Freestyles jump in immediately
- The mix for the main menu music is not final
- There is no song title overlay, or "MTV Overlay"
- You cannot continue from the results screen
- Colors on the main menu are darker

i randomly remembered this game's existence last night and reverse engineered its archive format (.ttr2_track), which is pretty simple
each .ttr2_track file contains 2-4 midis, one for each difficulty, and they vary per song
the audio is just m4a, it is an ios game so that makes sense
these formats are the same for tap tap revenge, so the title makes sense :)
0:00 - Datarock - The Pretender
3:16 - Richard Vission & Static Revenger - I Like That (feat. LUCIANA)
in the bank 6 prototype of rb3, the track bounces on kicks just like in rb2, they left this animation in the final build of the game, unused
i dont know how to make it play on only kicks, and it shits itself when you gain od, this is just a proof of concept if anything
THIS WAS SUPPOSEDLY FOUND ON A DEVKIT PREVIOUSLY OWNED BY PI, FOUND DIGGING THROUGH HMX ARCHIVES ON SUPER OLD FORUMS
