Seriously, it positively SHREDS my heart to watch it, and I am absolutely in need of the third season right now...In many ways I can identify with Rae, and I think a lot of girls can too, which makes the show so brilliant. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child and I have always let it define me in a way that isn't healthy. But this show is so beautifully written and has so much heart, it's equally heartbreaking as it is hysterically funny. We all have a bit of Rae's inner monologue going on in our real lives.The song was the perfect to use all the voice-overs I wanted- I love how their relationship developed into something more than friendship, and I wish more guys like the fictional Finn existed in real life for sure. It was such a heart-wrenching, horribly sad relationship that had a lot of love, but not a lot of trust. I felt bad watching Anne becoming this paranoid, annoying, cruel person...but then I didn't blame her either, being a product of her environment and never able to think for herself. I think she listened to gossip more than her own head and was too ambitious in the end. I mean she got to be Queen, but not a happy one. I think it was sad too that Richard sort of succumbed to that ambition and used her without realising how much she doubted him. Wicked Game | Richard & Anne | The White Queen gracefulangel47 2013-08-10 | Hey everyone!So....I think you can probably tell I have fallen in love with this show...and with these two characters in particular. Their story is romantic in one way, and entirely questionable in another: you never really know who is playing who or whether the love was there or not. Everyone in the show has an agenda, and it doesn't necessarily go in harmony with the heart. But I do believe Richard loved Anne in this show, despite all the shit that is about to go down lol....I dare say I will be in foetal position by the end of it lol. I also didn't really like how scheming and vindictive they have made Anne in the last episode- sure she is a product of her environment and was never treated as anything but a pawn...but ugh I don't like how she was portrayed. The actress is good but the way her part was written didn't sit well with me. But then the pace of this show is so screwed up...should have been longer and less rushed in my opinion.Anyway I thought this song worked really well with them as they both have motives.ambition and you're never really sure of Richard's true intentions. His story is too haunting and brilliant to stay away from for too long. Unfortunately I haven't been able to edit much over the past few months, life has just gotten in the way. I actually was editing another tribute to Harry Potter but lost inspiration for it, and so I had been wanting to use this (again ) overused song, and found that it really worked with Snape's story.I guess this is just about all the horrible things Snape had to do as spy for Dumbledore, including killing Dumbledore, and letting others die to keep his cover. Also having to look at Harry, protect him and watch him grow up when he was in love with his mother the whole time. I just found it so cutting when Harry said "Tell them how you looked him in the eye, a man that trusted you, and killed him." I know, Harry couldn't have known, but still! I was like...shut up?? I love his expressions. I love his freckles. And he is so frickn talented. I recently saw this miniseries (Birdsong by the BBC) and his performance is reason alone to see it. A lot of people have called it 'slow' and full of 'posing' shots lol, and maybe it is a little bit, but OMG his performance was so heartbreaking, it took my breath away, Clemence Posey was actually pretty good too, and she is so beautiful:) Anyway, enough gushing lol. I do recommend this, I'm reading the book by Sebastian Falks at the moment and it's pretty amazing. Basically it's about a young businessman sent to France to study the language and textile industry and while he's there he stays with one of the factory owners and his wife. The factory owner mistreats his wife, who Stephen (Eddie Redmayne) falls in love with and both of them run away together. And then things happen, and WW1 happens and it's all very epic and....just watch it? lol I do feel bad for the torturous use of this song...I can't seem to stop using it (3 times now lol), but it works so well with this show and I love her voice lol! The Funeral (Tate & Violet) gracefulangel47 2011-11-27 | Hi guys! *please watch in HD!* Well this show just keeps getting more fucked up as each episode airs. It has divided so many people simply because it makes you think about what kind of person Tate was when he was alive, whether he had a split personality, and what happened to him that made him do those horrible things? Spoiler Alert: Also, he is the Rubber Man??? WTF?? Did anyone else see 2 different expressions in the mirror cut together, one evil smile and one confused? I think he may have suffered from multiple personality disorder/schizophrenia, simply based on the two completely opposite sets of behaviour that we see on the show. (I am not judging/saying all people who may suffer from these kinds of disorders display the kind of behaviour Tate's character does, purely what I have seen on the TV show, which is extremely fictional:) Anyway. I came across this AMAZINGLY epic song through a Doctor who video by 0RainbowProductions and I thought how perfect to use it with the 'hallway walking' scenes. It's called "The Funeral" and you should definitely check the band out, they are pure awesome. This video is how Tate is sort of reaching out to Violet and when she discovers the truth about him she freaks out (as anyone would lol). It's not really even meant to be about their "love story", but more to do with how Tate is in a state of confusion, and when she moves into the house he finally can connect with someone. Because he's a ghost, and he has visions of his crimes but he doesn't realise what he actually did...yet. And Violet finds out and freaks out (as you would), but sees that he doesn't know anything about his past or what he's done as a ghost. Yeah, I told you it was fucked up.
