We took the time to measure the machine utilization difference between manual and robotic operation of our 3D printing farm over the course of 24 hours, printing exactly the same parts.
The robotic operation achieved 73.8% more printing hours across the 20 machines.
Next Steps: We plan to extend this test over an entire weekend next month to gather more data and see how the trend develops over a longer period.
we've made this system to enable our R&D team get more work done within a shorter timeframe.
We're constantly prototyping various mechatronic devices, electrical cabinets and custom robotic grippers. Having the system from the video got our mechanical engineers to match the iteration speed of our software engineers.
We'll be launching a series of videos showcasing the advantages of 3D printing automation and comparing it side by side with manual operation.
