Sophie and Sin are joined by Famicom collector David, AKA RndStranger, to discuss legendary developer Natsume's second ever game, Idol Hakkenden. A loose parody of the classical novel Nanso Satomi Hakkenden, Idol Hakkenden follows Erika, a teenage girl who must become the world's greatest idol singer in order to inherit her dying mother's fortune. Along the way, Erika recruits seven allies, and comes into conflict with the Iromono Gang, a group of washed-up entertainers who plan to turn the world into one giant late night variety show.
