(1995) - I'D RATHER BE DEAD --"love"
This was the second video promoting the I.R.B.D. "until then" cd.
At this point in their history, I.R.B.D. was Dox (vocal/guitar) Don Balance (guitar/vocal) Evan Detrick (bass/vocal) Mike Fritchman (drums on the cd) and Animal (drums in the video). I shot this at their warehouse rehearsal space in Allentown, PA, plus the live stuff at Lupos and Telford Inn.
This is one of the few videos that I shot, but did not edit.
To get some background info on the edit, I worked on this with my friend Don Balance, who was the IRBD guitarist and video "Toast Master General". I recorded all of the performance footage, Don found all of the stock footage and put it all together.
DON BALLANCE - "It was edited in 2 days at New York Camera and Video on the Video Toaster Flyer. It was also a part of the reason I got the job at Newtek as I showed it to the whole company the day of my interview. It has a mix of 2 drummers, Mike and Animal. It was the only song where i share lead vocals with DOX. It was the only song that stared with just a bass line by Evan".
