Is a minute a long time, or a short time? If it is long, we should measure in seconds. Conversely if it is short we should measure in hours. Yet we measure time in all of those units. We measure time in Days, months, years, milliseconds, centuries, decades. The list goes on. Yet it’s widely known, and people like to tout that time is relative. Which means that all of those units mean nothing. Imagine if we measured time in heartbeats. When my heart beats fast, time goes by fast. When things drone on, time goes by slower. This is how we view life. In a moment of a kiss, my heart beats fast. While I have sat in many an exam that have taken too many heartbeats. Moments in your heart can’t be fixed, merely moved on from. You can’t turn back a heart, and when it stops your time ends. In this time that you have been listening to me my heart has beat 70 times. I will never get those back, and in the past minute I have largely ignored them.
Class until noon meeting at two, with Jim ... no James. I think sleep will be optional tonight. I don’t think there is enough time in the day for me. Have you ever stopped and just thought about the world? No, the entire world, everyone, everyplace, everything ... everytime. It’s easy to get caught up in the jargon, and minutia of this world. That we lose sight. People stop being stories, places stop being adventures, all becomes none, and time is just a countdown, or a deadline. I want people to be novels, places x’s on maps, all to be more than enough, and time to be a gift. When the world is a blur sometimes you need to stop. Stop so you can truly see, stop so you can think. When I close my eyes tonight, and the darkness closes in, I will think about the world.
Wow! What nice weather we are having, too bad my phone is telling me it is going to be cold and rainy on Thursday. Could you imagine us living in the 90’s? We would have no idea that next Thursday was going to be cold and rainy. We would sit here talking about how nice the weather is tonight, and have a positive outlook on what the weather is going to be like next Thursday. When the truth of the matter is there is a low pressure system coming for us, and with it comes the cold, and the rain we wish wouldn’t come. We could wait for the 9 o'clock news, but no one has time for that. Instead we would sit here contemplating a warm and sunny Thursday. A Thursday that only exists in our minds. A Thursday of hope, and happiness, a Thursday destroyed by the facts of today. It just goes to show how fickle our world is. That we are given nice days, next to the bad ones. So when I am indoors on Thursday.
--sigh--
I will miss the 90’s.
This video was meant to be an overview of life. Beginning with life, and then ending with death. The decision to make both life and death start in the graveyard, came from the line "lets start over again". it was my intent to make this video somewhat like a cycle. Where you could watch, and then re-watch. Not as a total restart of the video but as a continuation.
As you have probably noticed there are several plot falls in the video. This video was created in three days, One day of planning (creating a story board), and then two days of shooting. If we would have had more time we could have fixed some of them, but alas we could not.
Thank you for watching.
