A teaser for something that's part of a larger mod for 2FM on PC. There's no ETA on when this will be done, but its closer to being finished than not.
Traverse Town is implemented as a brand new world, using the unused debug world "World ZZ" in the game. Currently the only way to access it is using the kind of warp seen at the end of the video. It's being designed as a sort of optional "dungeon" you can run through when unlocked, similar to the Cavern of Remembrance.
As of now, the entirety of Traverse Town is completed visually, meaning every map that will appear is imported with properly working effects in KH2. I'm currently working on planning out enemy battles, NPCs, & general interactivity, which this video showcases some in an unfinished state. I'm aiming to have more interactivity than what currently exists in most of KH2's existing worlds. While the general idea is to recreate a lot of KH1s interactions, I'd like to also throw in some surprises where it may work.
As more parts of Traverse Town are closer to completion, I may put out some more footage showing it off, though I'd like to keep some things as a surprise if possible.
Additionally, while it obviously won't be race-legal, this should end up being compatible with Rando.
