What if one painting could become the beginning of another?
In this Studio Session, I'm experimenting with a technique that allows me to transfer an image of my own artwork onto a new surface...and then use that transfer as the starting point for an entirely new piece.
I love the unexpected possibilities this process creates. The original artwork doesn't disappear; instead, pieces of it become part of something new.
This is the beginning of a new series of Studio Sessions where I'll be exploring just how far I can take this technique. I'll be sharing several different paintings and experiments along the way, so I hope you'll come back and see where it leads.
