Many of you know that I've been a fan for a long time of the Super Grip Lock originally created decades ago by Melinda and Moore. They reached out to me and we'd been in touch ever since 2021 when I did a video about this product's design. (They were actually so grateful for the massive boost in publicity that they sent me a small box of these tools and we listed them in our catalog and sold them online, since they have always proven quite popular with folk who travel regularly.)
Sadly, starting in late 2022 Melinda and Ron kind of went dark. They stopped responding to emails, their web site checkout process (a simple PayPal backend) became broken, and now their web site has been completely offline for quite a while. I and others who have tried to reach them haven't been successful with calls or messages for long enough that it is presumed that something permanent has happened and they may never resurface.
While one or two vendors of the original Super Grip Lock may still be sitting on limited quantity, it's clear that re-upping from the old source is no longer an option. Since the tool is long since out of patent, I chose to create something that can fill the void.
As you know, I don't like to mention our site by name, but these new Deadbolt Straps are listed there and, depending on when we get them in stock, may prove useful to those of you who travel frequently or to those of you looking to fill a last minute stocking stuffer need. Enjoy! 👍😁👍
