A few weeks ago, I got the dreaded:
“DC Fast Charging Unavailable. Service Required.”

The alert disappeared after a few seconds, but I wasn’t comfortable leaving it unresolved — especially if I might be going on a long road trip. So in this follow-up video, I’ll walk you through exactly what Tesla Mobile Service did to fix the issue on my Model 3, how long it took, and what it cost me (spoiler: not that much).
This builds on my earlier deep dive where I accessed Tesla's hidden service menu and found the error:
CP_HV_COVER_SNA

DC charging is unavailable because the charge port (CP) electronic control unit (ECU) has detected that the high voltage (HV) back cover and/or CP AC charging connector are not present on the back of the CP inlet.
Set Condition:

Clear Condition:
