I’ve been spending time with a new instrument.
An AA bandoneon built in Klingenthal, inspired by the old Alfred Arnold tradition, from Bandonion & Concertina Fabrik: bandonionfabrik.de
It’s different from my original AA from the 1940s—especially in the way it responds, and in the possibilities the extended keyboard gives me.
I don’t think of it as a replacement, but as another voice. One that’s starting to reveal its own character the more I play it. I´m quickly falling in love with it :)
