I bought a barn-find vintage Masters of the Universe collection and took a risk sending the best pieces to AFA for grading. These old He-Man toys had been stored loose in blue totes for decades — but did the grades actually pay off?
In this video, I reveal the grades on vintage Masters of the Universe (MOTU) action figures including He-Man, Skeletor, Scare Glow, Mer-Man, Teela, Faker, Beast Man, Man-At-Arms, Zodac, Evil-Lyn, Jitsu, Blue Wing Stratos, and more.
I grew up collecting He-Man toys, but I had never graded vintage action figures before. I had to use my card-grading instincts to judge the condition, take the gamble, and see if this collection was actually worth it.
We’ll look at early 8-back carded figures, AFA grades, vintage toy condition, and some of the most iconic Masters of the Universe characters from the 1980s.
