Hello! If you’re watching this video on or after the 23rd of March 2026 you might be thinking “what’s up with the thumbnail and title?!” Well, allow me to explain! When I first posted this video it had a more traditional name and thumb, but something weird happened. This video tanked hard. Now I am no stranger to a video doing badly, but this one felt different. It was on a subject I felt would do well and since making changes to my content at the start of 2026 most my videos have done reasonably well. The only one to do badly was my A-Z of coats name video, which I presumed wouldn’t do too well as it was a niche subject. But this one has done worse than that one. After some investigating and asking you guys it seems some strange factors went against this video, and I feel YouTube doesn't actually want you to watch it. This is for a couple reasons.
First off, it’s about war. And due to current events, war doesn’t seem to be something YouTube wants us talking about at the moment. Secondly however, YouTube seems to have an issue with videos about Native Americans. Especially videos talking about their mistreatment, which this video does get into. This might sound odd but I am not the only one to have noticed this. All this, plus the fact that many people have told me that this didn’t show up in their recommendations while my other videos normally do. Had led me to believe that YouTube is hiding this one from people. I did change the thumbnail and name to something else but then I thought screw it, let’s give this one a more kick. I think this video is now dead in the water unfortunately so let’s give it one last attempt to get some attention with a really out their thumbnail and name.
Suffice to say, this is annoying for so many reasons. It sucks for me personally as less views means less money for me, but that doesn’t matter too much. It really sucks for people who want to talk about the plights of Native Americans. If YouTube is hiding this kind of content, creators like myself are way less likely to make videos on the subject.
