I've spent the last couple years fighting with my body. Trying to force her to be what she once was.
I only found value in myself when I was thin and strong. So when my body started to change in perimenopause, when the things that used to work stopped working, when my anxiety went through the roof and my brain didn't feel like my own... I felt ashamed. I didn't know how to show up in the world.
So I've decided to stop.
Stop comparing myself to who I used to be. And start loving myself for who I am now.
I've started asking myself, what feels good to me now? How can I take care of myself in THIS season of life?
For me that looks like letting go of the fear of food. Discovering what I actually like, not what I think I "should eat" to look a certain way.
What FEELS GOOD in MY body?
How do I like to move?
What clothes do I like to wear?
What if I stopped taking pictures of myself to impress others?
What if I lived in the moment instead of trying to create the perfect content to make people think I'm a certain way?
What if I stopped performing?
Who would I be? What would I look like? Feel like? Act like?
I'm not sure yet... but I'm ready to find out 💛
