A challenge like this is extremely demanding, as you need to have an enormous amount of luck and patience, because at level 1, you die in one hit most of the time when going against powerful enemies (I say most because if two or three Mii’s activate sacrifice III, they may survive).
For setup, you’ll want to make your main hero a Cleric. At first, you may be wondering, “SULLY 2345, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? NO JOB CAN DO A MAGIC TYPE MOVE AT LEVEL 1!” Well, there is one specific exception. If your hero has a level 15 relationship with the horse, it will use Horse Whispering (Horseplay in the PAL version), which uses all of your MP for an effect that depends on the job (this is only one of two scenarios where you use MP at level 1, the other being the Tanks default attack). When a Cleric uses Horse Whispering, it will not only restore everybody’s HP and MP, but it will also revive anybody that has fallen (also restoring all their HP and MP). Normally, a Cleric has one of the weaker Horse Whispers, but this is a huge exception (though I didn’t really use it in my successful attempt).
On the other hand, you’re going to want your party members to be either Warriors, or Cats because they do a lot of physical damage, and we can’t use any magic attacks at level 1.
For equipment, you’re going to want everybody to have the legendary gear and weapons (or at the very least, the stats of them).
For personality, your gonna want everybody to be cool, as they have a chance to dodge physical attacks (which include the Dark Sun’s basic attack), and can do slightly more damage with their basic attack.
For relationships, you’ll want to have all 4 members of your team to have a level 99 relationship level.
For grub stats, you’re going to want a good HP, and attack stat, as you’ll deal more damage with higher attack power, and while you can’t survive the Dark Sun’s basic attack or black hole, getting hit by a medal doesn’t result in an instant death, though that will also depend on your defense stat, so that will factor in here. Your main hero is also going to want a +99 speed stat. The Dark Sun has a speed stat of 105, and the Cleric’s speed stat is 11 without food stats, so maxing this stat out will make the speed stat 110, which will let the Cleric move before the Dark Sun (this isn’t consistent though, as the Dark Sun may move before you, even though your speed stat is higher than his).
During the fight, use your hyper sprinkles on your Warriors/Cats to greatly increase their attack power. This is especially useful if they get either Lend a Hand, or Pincer. Shield sprinkles are also going to play a big role in this fight. However, you only get 5 of each, so use them wisely. If you’re going to use your Life sprinkle, only use it if your hero (which I already mentioned should be a cleric) dies, or you really need to revive somebody as a least resort.
Those are the tips I have for you for beating the Dark Sun at level 1 (Wow, I can’t believe you actually read through all this)
