2025 marks the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea—one of the greatest moments in the history of Christianity. We invite you to explore the ancient words that have united Christians in faith for nearly two millennia—words that reveal not just who God is, but who we are, made in His image and likeness.
These words have stood the test of time. They are not simply one more document containing doctrinal formulas—they remain not only a formula of faith, but an act of praise to God for revealing to us that faith. In the Nicene Creed we hear and speak what the Fathers of the Church called "the words adequate for God."
