What worked + what ended up in the Planner Graveyard 💀 toxmot. 2025-09-14 | Been meaning to do this video and finally came around to it. I hope you will get a glimpse into each of these planners if you haven’t tried them out. Earlier on in my hobby, I tried out lots of different brands before I came to realize what was best for my planner needs. Hopefully this video can help out some of you who are looking to try other brands other than the big main ones (Hobonichi, Travelers Company, Filofax, etc). However, I do include my Hobonichi planner in this video because I consider the A5 Cousin as a planner I’ve tried and it’s different enough from what I’m currently using. Hint, I might want to go back! On the other hand, I forgot to include my Travelers Company weekly booklet. It is also in the Planner Graveyard. I just don’t like the style of the thin notebook because it doesn’t lie flat and I have to constantly rely on a clip or my hands to keep it open. New Pen Day: My First Pilot Vanishing Point! toxmot. 2024-12-19 | So I finally hopped on this VP band wagon. No regrets. It’s a pretty cool pen and in this video we will choose the ink, ink it up and do a writing test.I get the hype now..it feels like a totally different pen than the Pilot Decimo. For some reason the 18K nib with Rhodium trim feels soooo different. I guess it’s the rhodium coating that is making it feel stiff. How I decorated my Hobonichi for 2025 + TSL Cover! toxmot. 2024-11-24 | Hey Stationery Friends,I can’t believe we are almost in December! I hope you have all your planners and journals all picked out.Decorating my notebooks are one of my most favourite things to do to feel that I am ready for the new year ahead. It’s so relaxing to slowly pick out the stickers that work together and forming a colour palette that works with them. I don’t plan ahead regarding which stickers to use and just use whatever I have at the moment. I find that much more fun and freeing than planning each sticker out. I am also trying to use my stash, using all my favourite stickers.If you need any inspiration to help decorate your notebooks, maybe this video will inspire you or give you ideas. I did include an unboxing of a TSL cover, but that is the later half of the video. I haven’t seen much of this cover on youtube surprisingly, and it is just gorgeous.Of course, there are many ways to decorate and “setup” a notebook, including creating art, collages, etc. My favourite is stickers! :)I wish I could see how everyone decorated their Hobonichi. Sharing my Hobonichi Covers, What else caught my eye & destash! toxmot. 2024-09-08 | Greeting my stationery friends,Another week into Hobonichi season…the weather is getting cold here, and I’ve been looking thru my older covers. I’ll go over each one and then I have a few to destash near the end of the video. As you may know there is a part II to this launch fiasco…I haven’t been able to pin-point exactly what happened but I guess no one really knows? There are speculations only so far. I’ve been getting feedback from the community that because not all items has a consistent price increase, it may not entirely be a currency exchange rate error but that Hobonichi also raised the prices for other reasons.Either way, what it means for me is that my Hobonichi is going to be more expensive going forward. Could it be due to their growing demand or that customers are eating the cost of their USA expansion? Or is it just inflation? Did they expand too fast? All these questions pop up in my mind. I’ll be naive and take their word for it for now - that it’s a currency exchange rate error. Hobonichi has always listened to their customers in the past and I’ve been impressed by their level of customer service too. Let’s please not forget that! I’m looking forward to receiving my order and I’m so excited to see the unboxings starting to flood in! Planner Dilemma - Pocket, Passport, Personal Rings?! toxmot. 2024-07-06 | Just as this title says, been having some issues with feeling “at home” in a planner. I’m sure some of you can relate to this. Sometimes certain planners won’t work out because it’s not the right moment to use a certain planner. But other times, the stars align and something just clicks. I may not have mentioned it in the video but writing down notes that I can throw away in a non-bounded notebook sounds quite appealing at the moment. Ironically, the last time I was in rings this was the exact problem I had. I needed to archive the ringed pages and had issues with it feeling very non-permanent. Funny that for my current planning mood, this is exactly what I needed - the freedom of a non-bounded spine. A page where I can cross out things, circle, highlight, and then toss away. Setting up my Classiky Drawer + Desk Tour! toxmot. 2024-05-19 | Hi Stationery Friends,In today’s video I am sharing an unboxing and setting up of my new Classiky Wooden Drawer. I have had my eye on this for years. I couldn’t find any review videos on this item so I had to make one!Here’s a backstory and how I justified it: I held back from purchasing it because I didn’t really need it at the time and I had already bought the Classiky Box. In the past year, I have changed my desk from a white IKEA dresser to a wooden desk that I found at Marshalls (TJMaxx, if you are in the States). I’ve been trying to make the Classiky Box functional for me by keeping it open on my desk for storage and also tried storing it on my shelf closed. My current setup does not include a shelf and I’ve had to move my shelf outside of my room due to other circumstances. I’ve tried to purchase one for Christmas but they were out of stock. I looked again during my birthday but it was still out of stock. When they finally came back in stock, I wasn’t quick enough and it had already sold out within a day or so. I eventually forgot about it but lately I have been thinking about the corner on my desk and how the Classiky Drawer would add to it. What would I store and do I really need it? Of course I didn’t. There is no stationery item that is a need. So this fell under the list of “wants”. The way my desk is structured, I can only sit on the left and do all the work on that side. The right side has a drawer and for storing things - maybe a CPU. So since the right-side of the desk is mostly an un-used space and for storage, I thought if I had a Classiky Drawer in the corner and next to a wall (my wall protrudes inwards), I can lean notebooks on the right of the drawer. It would create more space for storage at the top of the Drawer for more books, Knick knacks, or my favourite - plants.
